But make we talk true shaaa………… Godswill Akpabio is the best Governor in terms of infrastructural development. While Amaechi of Rivers State is one of the worst. I lived in Phc and paid sacrilegious/scandalous tax for nothing nothing.. The only people who will say thank you to Amaechi are politicians and their families. The evil men do………
kookie
May 28, 2015 at 9:32 pm
Whilst I agree that Akpabio is a good governor, he did not deal with the population that BRF had to deal with. And that makes BRF the top guy for me.

Infrastructures won’t save luves. Emergency lines and ambulances do. This is Fashola’s thread, don’t try to undermine his achievements. When you see a thread dedicated to Akpabio, praise hin there.

May 29, 2015 at 9:09 am
I would disagree, it depends on what you think is important. Akpabio spent time building an airport, an e-library, fly-overs and basically doing up the state capital to a great deal. Amaechi built lovely schools in every community and village in Rivers State. In one of those communities which I recently visited and could only access by boat, the school is one of the best buildings. Amaechi adopted a more grassroots approach to development. The debt incurred by Akpabio for the state is collosal

May 28, 2015 at 9:07 pm
Goodbye BRF, you had a great PR team who constantly washed you clean and made us believe you brought heaven down! The okada riders association are glad you’re going, doctors you sacked are glad you’re going, market associations are glad you’re almost gone, taxi drivers can’t forget the faceless agents who constantly harassed them for unreceipted taxes! The residents of Ajeromi and ‘untush’ areas of Lagos who didn’t qualify for roadworks and beautication bid you farewell. You are at best average for the cosmetic surgery you did to Lagos, while enriching yourself and BAT through it all. I trust you’d leave your PR team for Ambode to continue the washing while Tinubu continues looting Lagos dry.
Welldone Sullivan Chime, Shettima of Katsina, Godswill Akpabio; the press may not have celebrated you but those without wool over their eyes know those who really worked. You may not be trending or have hashtags in your honour but no need wasting taxpayers money on twitter overlords. All the best.

Shettima of Katsina? (Shema) i’m getting you, You want to ride okada in New York? i’m getting you! the safety that brought and the reduction in accidents? the doctors that want get paid for going on strike too? yes? this isn’t or wasn’t a PR thing. it is clear testimony, travel time kept going down, the city became safer, conducive and other things. go to Katsina and invest? na? Enugu? na? oh you must want to invest in Akwa Ibom too? not dusting off the efforts of these blokes, but you can’t dust off BRF’s as well with decisions that would only allow Lagos grow in justice and in fairness!

MAdam calm down. breathe! the guy is not God. He cant do everything. Do you realise that Lagos state had to multiply the revenue from the fed govt to be able to achieve this much? which means taxex, taxes and more taxes. Wasnt it you all who cussed the guy out when he started demolishing substandard homes?
he moves one leg and you all are ready to cast stones. Enyia please before you comment try to be rational. No body is saying other governors didnt do well but for the dilapidated state lagos was in before Fash arrived and now my dear your talk is baseless!
I know how much he did in just my area alone, Hom much much much better life is. We used to dread the rains, now we just dont care, A governor who abides by his own traffic laws. Taked Keke Napep, doesnt use a convoy to move around with sirens and disturbing the peace. Look at the way he handled Ebola.
My sister abeg take seat! if he achieved this much with all the opposition then he truly deserves the praise. Nansense!

No matter what you do in life, there will be supporters and there will be critics. Even Abacha had supporters ☺️
On #Fashola, this is the first time (to my knowledge) Nigerian Twitter was flooded with accolades for an out going leader. Maybe his PR team did a fine job, or Nigerian Twitter is made up of mostly lagosians or Fashola actually did a tremendous job in Lagos. I don’t live in Lagos but I was so pleased that he was celebrated. Well done BRF. ??
On #Akpabio, I served in Uyo, and I must say that Akpabio’s works will speak for a very long time. The road network is amazing. I actually saw the transformation with my own eyes. Two years after service, I visited again just last month. I was in awe because in just about two years, much more had been done. I nearly cried when I remembered my state (Rivers). Well done Akpabio. ??
Now, on #Amaechi, in my opinion, he should never have come back for a second tenure. Amaechi did amazing in the first tenure. He was the man of the masses. Building schools and health centres in every LGA of the state. He created new road networks and even had a grand master plan for the new port harcourt. Second tenure was spent fighting political battles. He was totally distracted. And for the construction of all the aforementioned projects, he used indigenous contractors. This was supposed to help empower the state but in the long run, it became his undoing because the projects were not executed to top quality. As he is leaving, many of the projects, especially roads, are leaving with him. I will still say well done, but never forget the lessons from your mistakes.

@PHgirl, Are you there? Hi5. My fellow Pitakwan. Amaechi used his own hands to ruin his legacy. I hope he has learnt his lessons. Although, l doubt it. The new administration should be weary of him. He started well but ended very badly.
