An explosion at a petrol station in Accra, Ghana, has left at least 7o people dead and about a dozen people injured.

According to Al Jazeera, most of the victims had sought shelter at the station due to heavy rain.

Sources say the blast was an accident which was probably linked to the torrential rain.

“This is a very busy area of Accra. Lots of people. Lots of car traffic. And because of the heavy rains people gathered at this gas station to seek shelter and this explosion happened,” Al Jazeera correspondent, Boateng said.

I like the way BN covers all these graphic and devastating stories; giving us the information without the over-sensationalism we see in other blogs. That’s tasteful journalism. This is such a disaster!!

Seconded. I used to check the other popular blog but seeing as my heart cannot cope with horrid images, I learned to maintain my lane with BN.

This right here is so sad. I vacationed in Accra last Christmas and fell in love with Ghana and Ghanians. Nobody deserves to die like this.

May the dead rest in peace and may the families find strength to cope. 🙁

BN sometimes does not tell the whole story, they will pick what they want us to read out of a story. Trying to sell a certain idea or create a certain impression.
