Nigeria, I hail you. Continue to show the world you are bunch of senseless human beings who is an epitome that common sense isn’t common after all. Educated bafoons.

My dear, thank you for this concise yet powerful remark. You dont have salary to pay people who would die without it. Yet there is sufficient money to hire a well fed star to promote something we cannot even define.

You have a perfect grasp of the issues! I truly do not want to believe that more reckless spending is being contemplated here but I’m not an indigene of Cross Rivers state… Hoping the citizens entitled to that state budget have an understanding about how and why exactly this salary is being added to their administrative overhead. After all, they’re the employers who’ll fund this new office…

Oshi o da ni ile pako sha. The states cannot pay minimum wage to its workers but can afford to pay the “face of a state”? It was an unanimous decision by the states that they could not pay minimum wage right? Unless the remuneration is a peppercorn? im just going to kermit here and sip my tea all the same.

Shame to River state govt !in this economic crunch that govt is struggling to pay salaries! The Bakassi refugees are languishing in penury, their lands and means of livelihood taken etc Cross riverian should protest afterall all the youths are the face of CR. Smh with misplacement of priority by these so called governors! I wish states will be run like corporate where you need businesscase with justification for ROI before approval of any budget and you also do QBR to defend how money was spent! Which way naija!

nigerian government officails, if u people are not stealing our money, u are wasting it.
why should he get a car and monthly allowances?

taylor swift is an ambassador of newyork, what did they give her, NOTHING. instead she donated 55 thousand dollars and even wrote a song above newyork city titled “welcome to newyork”

nigerian government pls stop wasting our money. so iyanya is “the face of cross river”? will that make me want to visit cross river?
pls just stop this foolishness and face the work u were appointed to do. nonsense

      November 23, 2015 at 5:46 pm

sorry, its 50,000 dollars she donated to the New York City’s Department of Education.
Taylor Swift also donated 25,000 books to schools in newyork.
newyork city isnt paying taylor swift monthly salary or dashing her a car because she’s a newyork ambassador, because oyinbo people have their priorities straight. unlike we black people. they keep saying there’s no money but see how they are wasting money. I am ashamed of my country.

iyanya I know u are hungry but pls donate the monthly salary to schools in cross river and sell that car and donate the money also.

nigerian government doesn’t have any sense I swear.

    E gba mi ke????!!!!!
I just knew there was something off about this man when he was trying to dance shoki at silberbird @ 35 celebration. Lol! He looks like someone that would do this sort of foolish thing. See how these governors would be rubbing it in our faces that we made a mistake voting them in and they can do anything and nothing would happen!
When some graduates are in cross-river trying hard to make ends meet, their governor is busy dashing Iyanya that is already comfortable free car(that he doesn’t need and would most likely not ride in) + salary sef.. Tor! Ko buru! Enu e la wa yii.
Face of cross-river? What are they selling abeg?

Where do u stay in cross river state? I know that this ambassador thing is a bad idea, some people may say he has fallen short of expectation and all……but u can’t say u don’t ve light and water. There’s is light, there’s water…even when tankers decided 2 strike cause of baad roads and we didn’t ve fuel….he dropped everything and left Japan so he could come back n solve the crisis at home! Since he became governor he’s been paying salaries on or b4 the 27th of every month. So please wen u r comdemning a man’s wrong action….remember that he’s trying in some other aspect!

Yet they can’t pay minimum wage?
We need to stop pretending about morality. From the kind of brands a society endorses officially, it is obvious what we seek as a people. Even the telcos are equally guilty. I long gave up on these people called leaders. Bunch of barbarians!!
Iyanya, enjoy your share and have plenty fun.

Bella, your writers need to understand that the medium they use is powerful and will inspire the minds of millions.
What is Iyanya is ‘cashing in’? He has been made ambassador for a state and the next thing you can tie this to is money?

Just when you think Nigeria can’t shock you anymore, it ups the ante.
