Hmmm… Hypocrites! Becos the man is a billionaire, no one ever remembers that Shade was hooking up with a married man and was happy to be 2nd or even 3rd wife. Not to even mention the 38yrs btw them. Now she is promoted as a entrepreneur and role model. If u ask her now she’ll say she’s a feminist as usual. Feminism is truely dead, women always want to have it all one way or the other. Pff

My own is not even whether she hooked up with a married man. Their religion permits it.
I’m sure if you went down her ancestry, the man’s ancestry and all stakeholders in their matter you would find polygamy very trite.

But how she came from nowhere (poverty), obviously couldn’t have struggled with the man when he was a nobody, and now sits on his multi-billion naira or dollar empire, side lining and relegating her senior wives and other family members to the point where she calls the shots , is what beats me. I heard he directs them to her when they need anything (not sure how true it is)

He is never seen publicly with the first wife especially, who was there when he had nothing. (I thought Islam said treat and love all wives equally in all ways). Look at Oba Tejuosho for example.
The man is actually not on very good terms with some of his children based on this Shade woman. It may not be all her fault,, but women have have their ways of ameliorating such problems if they choose to. or wasn’t she the one intelligent enough to swing the man and his empire?

I wish I could like Osa’s comment a thousand times. Does a woman become a role model by marrying a rich man and taking control of his wealth from other family members? She controls the man and alienates the other family members, do we seriously want to teach our children that they should aspire to that? Is there no moral compass for this nation again? You can say their religion promotes polygamy fine, but does it promote unfair treatment of others?

You’re silly. Looking for how to bash feminism in every avenue. It’s possible she could be a feminist, afterall she did what she did on her own terms. But with people like you, one day Bellanaija will post one word “Hey” and you’ll still come and say “These feminists think they know what it means to pronounce “Hey”
Please carry your overbruised ego and gerrarahia

Pithy too. I read her interview on Vanguard’s Allure once and all her responses were one liners that were straight to the point. I respect her.

One liners suggest lack of eloquence – in sade Okoya’s case.

I wonder the kind of things we celebrate in Nig. Who is Sade ….. by herself, without the Okoya and Eleganza attachment? On the flip side, I can see how she’ll be a role model to the hustlers and aristo chicks who wld want to land it big time like her. I am not being a hater, I just can’t but wonder who the younger generations look up to nowadays esp with the prevalence of baby mamas as well. #thinkingoutloud

who are you by yourself? evryones journey is different. some make names for themselves, some need others to carve a nitch for them, some just meet “helpers” on their journey in life. Either way it comes , it was predestined, theres no one way rule to greatness. And Yes shes a role model to whoever be looking up to her, cos in whatever situation she found herself she made the best use of it to get to where she is today, Keep thinking aloud you hear.

The eleganza brand isn’t even her own she married into it, if she had built that brand from the ground up ehen ehen I would agree that she deserves all the hype she’s getting. But seriously let’s be real she’s just an aristo chick who got lucky that is all.
