For Spring/Summer 2016, the Chechi Arinze woman is simply a good looking lady.

The Nigerian eponymous womenswear brand presents its “Portrait of a Lady” collection lookbook.

This collection was showcased at the 2015 Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week.

In this collection, a rep says that the creative director “explores the multifaceted Chechi Arinze woman and the different stages she goes through on her journey to finding her place in the world.”

Portrait of Lady collection features streamlined and voluminous silhouettes. Stretch satin, sheer organza, and chiffon were used for draping, and some final products have lace appliques.

Great concept, cheap fabric, not so great tailoring with few pieces, good photography, and stunning model. There is room for improvement.

actually, you know what’d be awesome? a mama and pikin shoot. make the pieces for adults and kids and photograph them wearing match-match

Cheap fabric, nice execution, tacky finishing. Improve on those two and you’ll be a force to reckon with.

Is it the cheap fabric that matter? We keep complaining the economy is bad, yet we see something that is beautifully made and admired though cheap like you put it and nag? Com’on these are so fabulous , if cheap fabric like people say they are and still cheap or rather affordable , then this is fantastically fantastic. The common man can buy, Or are they forbidden to rock designers? Only for our celebs? Nay! Girl you good.

Using the “cheap fabric” to make out something this beautiful, is what even makes her better. With “expensive fabric” she will deliver and slay.

Chechi’s collection at last year’s fashion week was on of my faves. I don’t see cheap fabrics. I see good tailoring, very good styling and direction. Organza Is the rave so it’s not her fault it’s affordable. I love her pieces. Simple, elegant, I see myself In most of them.
