BN Living: Fiona of LoveYourTresses and her Husband Laolu Celebrate their 1st Anniversary with an Honest Couple’s Q&A Vlog | Watch

Natural hair vlogger, Fiona of LoveYourTresses and her husband Laolu had their first wedding anniversary on Friday and to celebrate, they’ve done a couples question and answer video about their first year in marriage, what it’s been like so far, what they’ve learnt and the advice they have for others getting married soon. Here’s what she said;

One year later and I’m glad to say we’re still here! ???

In celebration of reaching our one year landmark myself and hubby thought we’d share on lessons learned in the past year as well as answer some of the lovely questions you sent us via Instagram & Snapchat!

One thing that lingers in the video, is communication. Though they were together 7 years before marriage, communication is still something they had to adjust to in marriage. Another thing Laolu mentions is learning to take the other person in to consideration when making decisions. He also advices couples to let go of ego or pride and always be patient with each other.

They also address the issue of an unemployed spouse and how they coped and survived on one salary when they were in this situation. For this they adviced couples to save up for marriage and life after the big wedding, money management is what helped them.
