The highlight of the walk was encouraging people to attend the free screening sessions which will be held every Friday from Friday September 9th till Sunday, October 9th 2016 at Optimal cancer care foundation, 118 bode Thomas road, Surulere. All women are encouraged to come for the free screening even if you did not attend the walk.
According to Tewa Onasanya, the founder of Exquisite magazine and the EMAC Walk,
“This year, we have been able to capture more people, especially the young sexually active women who are also at risk of cervical cancer, a form of cancer that is 100% preventable and one of the few cancers that presents a pre-cancer stage.
