Winning! Obennebo Davidson & Omoh Momoh emerge Winners of the 2016 Elite Model Look Nigeria Competition

If you’ve been keeping up with our Instagram then you’d have followed the 2016 Elite Model Look Nigeria (EMLN) competition which wrapped up a couple of hours ago.

The EMLN competition, which is the 33rd edition of the completion and the 9th edition in Nigeria, is an opportunity for models to represent Nigeria at the international competition and to follow in the footsteps of top models such as Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, Gisele Bundchen, Sigrid Agren, Constance Jablonski, Mayowa Nicholas and Victor Ndigwe.

Last night, out of the 20 final contestants (10 male and 10 female), two winners emerged and they are Obennebo Davidson and Omoh Momoh.

Congrats to the winners!

Congratulations Omoh and Davidson. I went through the Davidson’s IG page and he seem very accomplished as a model already starring in Tokyo James campaign and lookbook, walked major shows at SAMW, signed to BethModel Africa and Ice Model SA. So, my question is, where is the competition here? He clearly has an edge over all the other male contestants in terms of Exposure and training. I’m sorry but how do you allow people with a swollen portfolio compete with others who are rookies at a competition that is supposed to be aimed at rookies. I just tire. #changeShouldBeginWithElite #UnaNonsenseDonDeyTooMuch

This show has lost credibility with me it’s a rookie show for pits sake . Why would an accomplished model win . Look at the venue empty the recession is hitting hard . Over prized show tickets not willing to innovate ?

I don’t get this and am so much disappointed with Nigerians and their nepotistic attitude.Davidson is signed with Beth Models and Beth models are the organizers of the Elite Model Look Nigeria….(who do they think they are fooling)..Why do you have to make aspiring models just like myself to go all the stress of even attending your audition call when you’ve already set yourself a winner aside…

Elohor Elizabeth is that correct? How can y9u allow someone already signed to beth models compete in s show organised by same people ? If these accusations are correct then you should be arrested as this was done with fraudulent intent. You had a winner akready

You guys don’t seem to understand the concept of a competition, so because beth is the organizer of elite model look does that mean if models from their agency is picked by elite to participate in the show they should decline this? Beth is a modeling agency, elite is an international modeling competition. An open casting was held for all interested participants to attend, Models attended were picked, pictures were sent to paris, winners were selected so cos the winner is from beth agency it becomes a problem. Elite is not bias if they saw a stronger face trust me they’d pick that person. If it was all about rigging why didn’t a beth female model win? Let’s be constructive in our thinking please. He’s been to SA does that make him any thing better than a fresh face? What did he do there?

Yes and that is why there is something called conflict of interest. It is wrong ethically speaking to do this . Politicians aren’t allowed to take ? from people and when they do over a certain amount they have to declare it . It Is for the protection of your conscience. So as long as elohor is involved with this show I strongly advice her to keep her models off it because it will create a feeling of favourtism ” and she will loose credibility

If you didn’t check through his page would you know him? Have you heard about him before?
Elite picks models not because they are represented here but models they feel meet their standard and models they’ll be able to market. It’s business.

I dont see the argument here.

So if the boy is signed to her agency, he is not allowed to do the competition? Is the aim of her agency not to help models? In 8 years has any of the past winners been from her agency? Is the girl signed to Beth?

Give him a chance. I hope he makes it like Victor.
