President Buhari is Vacation Chilling

How does President Buhari enjoy his vacation? With his feet up, watching the news.

On Sunday evening he shared a photo from the UK and wrote –

Last week, he announced he’s taking a break until February 6, leaving VP Osinbajo at the helm of affairs.

Bursani, you harsh o.???. Don’t mind d yeye liability of a man. Bloody hypocrite. Speaking from both sides of his mouth. No health tourism for Govt officials. Pls. what is he doing in the UK enjoying the medical facilities? After all d money budgeted for the Aso Rock clinic. Why are Nigerians not asking this man hard questions? Why is d silence so deafening?

    What a corny tweet

It’s either this man is completely out of touch and detached from the plight of ordinary Nigerians, or he just stubbornly doesn’t care. Why couldn’t he lead by example and take his vacation somewhere in Nigeria? Can’t medical experts be flown into Nigeria if need be? They can attend to him in a fully equipped medical centre and even possible impart some knowledge to local staff.

Continue rubbing it in. At about N600 to £1, a lot of hard working Nigerians can’t afford to do what you are doing.

If Nigerians are meant to buy Naija to grow the naira, what does that make our President?

      January 23, 2017 at 4:18 am

@EE exactly my thoughts. Can’t he vacate in Nigeria? Can’t he promote Nigerian medicals? How will Nigeria grow? They sent their kids abroad to study, shop, vacations name it, while the minimum wage is 18k? That’s pure wickedness. We can’t even protest peacefully without teargas, abeg I tire to type joor

Every President of any country around the world goes on vacation. Don’t use Buhari vacation as a reason to attack him if you people no how leadership works you will know that 90% of the problem Nigeria is facing today was caused by last President Goodluck Jonathan. Oil price was 90$ a Barrell then so it will be hard for some Nigerians to believe me. now oil price is $40 a barrel you think Buhari is the reason forgetting that %80 of Nigeria hard currency is in oil market when the price is down it hurts the nation. Previous President failed to move us aways from oil dependent, Goodluck Jonathan have many chances to do that when oil price was high but he did not the where busy sharing money among themselves.

We know GEJ is the cause of most of the problems.
What we do not know is why PMB is inept and why almost everything about his government is a total failire.

      January 23, 2017 at 7:25 am

@A Real Nigerian, how is GEF the cause of our problems? Our problems stem from the collective failures of our leaders; past and present. GEF is not the only culprit.

If you people believe this picture was taken on this his vacation and this picture was taken recently, I have a winning lottery ticket in NY to sell you. The man is terribly sick with brain issues and is refusing to tell the people. This is Yaradua 2.0. Even the picture of him boarding the plane -__- wake up Nigerians.

      January 23, 2017 at 11:20 am

@Lady, you are right. I hear it is so bad that there is always someone around to remind/steer him about on going discussion when he goes off tangent.
Mamman Daura ain’t going anywhere soon. Dead or alive we go soon know. I wish him well. We no get money for state burial. There is recession. Make him resign.

I actually believe this is an old picture, and the guy is really sick. Sorry, MrPresident. I also know this was Jagabans plan all along. When Fayose was going on about us electing someone so old and quarter to ******* they all abused him and told him to keep quiet. Let us be watching telemundo while the economy sinks deeper into the ground.

Your vacation suite in the UK just happens to have the Nigerian flag and Nigerian style-arrangement of furniture and trimmings. Try again. We know Aso Rock photos when we see them.

He most certainly did not post the tweet and the furnishings in the picture scream Nigerian.

Don’t make a bad situation worse. You prolly thought you were helping. Feb 6 is just round the corner. All he has to do is show up.

  16. Mr.A

    January 23, 2017 at 8:41 am

One thing is unfortunately true, the Nigerian media is incompetent. Why can’t they have correspondents (freelance or a permanent staff) report on this guy in the U.K. ? We just hear “he travelled” and then we don’t see or hear from him until he decides to be seen or heard, the Nigerian media has continually failed. Anyway I believe he is fine, as this picture shows, I really don’t get why people like to peddle rumors. Those talking about flag : Is it not possible he is staying at Nigerian House? Is it also not possible that when you book a place, modifications are made to make you feel at home? (Assuming he rented this house). As I can see from the TV he was watching “Politics Today” on Channels tv, that for me is enough proof that this is a real photo cause I can see that the Anchor wore that tie (pattern) on the program yesterday.
As for Mr. Presidents “tweet” or the person handling the account, I find this highly offensive. Is it not his duty to be duly informed at all times about the happenings in the country? Should he be taking a break at such a troubling time in the country? where it seems there is no roadmap to getting us out of the problems we currently face, should his source of information be channels tv instead of also thru government sources? I like channels, I think they are somewhat fair and do a good job, but this is not the place for him to be getting info from as a president, he should be getting information from Nigerian intelligence sources, government ministers(on their work), aid agencies. Maybe he is also getting from these other sources but this man and his teams incompetence is shocking so who knows if they even know what government is. I mean there are so many problems in Nigeria and you behave like everything is going on fine? This guy is a failure so far, pissing the **** out of me!

Thank you for clarifying that the picture was taken yesterday. It was quite observant of you! So what was the aeroplane pose for? Or was that an old picture? As for the tweets, lets just call that an inept Trump inspired act.

I hope one of us is seriously warming up to hit the ground flying in 2019 with solution to at least one of Nigeria’s legion of issues. Until then, make sure you know where your frigging voters card is and queue jejedly behind the right candidate/party in 2019 to send forth APC. Enough of this Ladipo-gossip about the colour of his dross or the way and manner he does “”the do”” in the oza room. We have had lunch in a 5-Star Hotel, Eatery and also in Mama Put and we now know where the food is the tastiest and affordable. The Countdown to 2019 has begun………. No more fight against corruption as it is no longer a terminal disease but a regenerative one. At the right time, science and technology (BVN, National ID Card etc) will cure corruption. We need to make our economy attractive for investment and face agriculture squarely.

If there is one thing that I’ve learned about the rich people and politicians in Nigeria, they know nothing about the people at the grassroots. They are really detached from reality. Nigeria situation is really pathetic and unbearable at the moment unless we are deceiving ourselves. Nigerians are not lazy but it seems they are building a barricade to render most Nigerians useless. I have never seen this present Nigeria in my life where people would have to beg for money before they could feed themselves – this is just the reality at the moment (you feel like crying sometimes).
We are going to continue like this if we don’t get things done properly and our conditions will remain the same for like 3 decades to come.
Mr. President has created a TSA to curtail the loopholes and some stuff which are commendable but is that the only reason why we are here? Mr. president, if some of your advisers are lying to you that everything is in order, they are just deceiving you like the way they did to GEJ, you have lost 60% of your popularity bcos an average Nigerian that entrusted you has lost the big trust in your regime bcos their conditions have gone from bad to worse. These people are the yardsticks to judge your dispensation.
Buhari should read how Seyidina Umar governed his people, he would cover his face in the midnight and be going around the city to see what the masses were saying about him; they believed that they would account for the welfare of every soul they governed.
I was expecting you to make some laws of banning officials to be receiving medical aids abroad so as to improve our health system, but you are the first culprit. Leaders normally live by examples and you failed in this department.
Nigerian public schools are no go area – what is your contribution? is it that difficult to refurbish schools to taste? don’t tell me so, schools are free in most Scandinavians and Germany for foreigners, not to talk of citizens.
You failed to curb the excess of Fulani herdsmen and your first statement on a swearing day was that you belong to everybody. Is that the character of a good leader? You don’t deserve a rest bcos Nigerians are restless.
Aren’t you guys ashamed of Nigerian airports? if you are not shameful, we do as citizens, Go to OR Tambo and Jomo Kenyatta airport on the same continent, they are of international standard. Why are we like this? are we going to be repetitive and expects a different result?

Mr. president, you might be thinking that you are the commander in chief, but this your government has been hijacked from the beginning, it showed from the missing budget to the padded one, disapproval of loan for infrastructures, rejection of Magu, just to name a few. By the time you wake up from slumber, you might not achieve something tangible and we will eventually open your report card for you at the end of your tenure.
Nigeria is hard, Mr president – do your own quota for the sake of poor masses and Nigerians will remember you for good. The little sun from the sky is enough to dry a cloth.
    I wish you speedy recovery
