Are you a female living in Anambra or anywhere around the East? Are you interested in learning how to code/build a website? Waste no time! Register to attend Django Girls Awka – a free programming workshop.

Django Girls is a global not- for- profit organization that helps women get involved in technology, enabling them to be creators by teaching them to build their own website using #‎Django and #‎Python programming languages.

Our goal is to unravel computers, explain the magic behind the internet and inspire women to become creators of technology (through technology) while they still pursue their passions either in fashion, beauty, business or consider getting into the technology space. We show women how easy it is to bring their brilliant ideas to life by empowering them with the right tools and a great community of Women in Technology (Django Girls and the Python Global Network).

This workshop is aimed at total beginners, so don’t worry if you know nothing about building a website. Participants would be mentored in small groups by experienced and dedicated coaches. We aim to bridge the gender gap in the tech world especially here in Nigeria.

Hurry! Apply here. There are only 35 slots are available!

Application deadline: February 10, 2017
Date: February 23rd & 24th, 2017.
Venue: Strategic Management office, Emmaus House complex, Awka, Anambra state.

We appreciate all our sponsors because offering an absolutely free workshop will be impossible if it weren’t for them. You can sponsor us by providing internet access for that day, providing accommodation for participants coming from outside Anambra or providing refreshments. Contacts us via [email protected]

Apply here to be a coach or a mentor. You can also send a mail to [email protected]

Don’t forget to tell someone else about this great opportunity!
