Facebook_logoA Swedish court on Tuesday sentenced three young men to prison for gang-raping a woman and live streaming the attack on Facebook.

Reza Mohammed Ahmadi, 21, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison for rape and accessory to rape, Maysam Afshar, 18, was sentenced to one year in prison for rape, a reduced sentence because of his age and Emil Khodagholi, a 21-year-old was sentenced to six months in prison for posting the rape on Facebook, and failing to report it. .

Ahmadi and Afshar are both Afghan citizens who have been granted residency in Sweden while Khodagholi is a Swedish citizen.

According to TodayNg, they were arrested on January 22 after members of a closed Facebook group of 60,000 members, saw the attack streamed live and alerted police. However, the film has since been removed from Facebook.

All three denied committing any crime. Ahmadi and Afshar admitted having sex with the woman but said it was consensual.

Khodagholi argued he was not the only one to film the events and claimed he was unaware the victim did not want the images to be public.

But prosecutors said the woman was “heavily drunk” and “under the influence of drugs” and impossible for such person to consent to sex, Judge Nils Palbrant said.

The men were also ordered to pay damages totaling 335,000 kronor ($38,000, 34,850 euros) to the victim.

Foolish animals. Of course they would say it was consensual. Until the punishment for rape involves cutting of the organ of the rapist, rape will continue to thrive.

    The sentence is too light!
What sort of judge did that? Or is this the highest sentence such an offence carries?
Why not revoke their citizenship and send them back where they came from?
Sweden used to have very low crime rates, since this mass immigration happened crimes like this have been on the increase.
