Aya Mase (Green Pepper Stew) by Rola Otems on BN Cuisine



Rola Otems shares a recipe for green pepper sauce, popularly known as aya mase – a special sauce/stew for rice, popular among Ijebu people of Nigeria. It’s very tasty and easy to make.


  • 3 green bell pepper
  • 1 scotch bonnet
  • 2 cubes seasoning
  • 1 full cooking spoon palm oil
  • beef, chicken, gizzard, fish and crayfish
  • salt to taste

    Nice. I tried cooking this but didn’t have the patience to bleach the oil completely. I dare say it was nice. Picky husband loved it.
    Simple for along recipe.

    I think i enjoyed the music even more that the simple and easy to follow recipe. Please is the music a compilation? i need it in my life.
