“Violence is not an excuse and should never be a choice no matter what” – Juliet Ibrahim Speaks on Domestic Violence

Ghanaian Actress, Juliet Ibrahim has joined several others to speak up against domestic violence.

The actress also slammed celebrities who mock their fellow celebs when they are abused in their marriage.

She wrote;

Our value as women has been taken for granted due to domestic violence, egoism and male chauvinism. Never joke about domestic violence. Violence is never a choice anyone should make!! ‘Why Didn’t You Just Leave?’ A question we are all quick to ask but we should never be the judge until we hear Domestic Violence Survivors Explain Why It’s Never That Simple!!! 80% of women experience violence in relationships around the world and its growing rapidly; We need to speak up and lend our voices as much as we can to encourage these Victims to speak up early enough to avoid a nasty fate, keeping quiet and thinking that He/She will change is not the solution!

Also; When a gun is present in a domestic violence situation, it increases the risk of homicide for women by 500 percent. #domesticviolence shame unto every so-called celebrity that is actually tweeting and snapping while mocking any thing concerning another woman’s well being that is out there in the news… don’t forget Karma is a real bitch; be careful what you wish for others. #sayNotodomesticviolence Thank God there are authorities in place nowadays to do the needful and deal with these maniacs! Violence is not an excuse and should never be a choice no matter what!

    Yes, Violence is NOT funny.
    After they will blame Social Media for marriage woes when the culprit is DM
    If all alleged was true….
    Was it SM that beat up Tonto Dikeh?
    Was it SM that beat up Lilian Esoro?
    Was it SM that gave Mercy Aigbe her scars and burns
    Was it SM that cheated on Toke and had a child with another woman?
    Abi SM made Teebillz go to edible catering?
    Maybe the men are the problem, or maybe there are other issues…dont you think?

    You could say there is a corrlelation between female celebrities on SM and failed marriages
    You could say their IG pages does not reflect the truuth. But to say SM is at fault is really not logically correct. Why not let us attack the real culprit.. Domestic Violence (DM) since it seems to be the recurring pattern here?

    Most of these women choose these men well aware before marriage the kind of people they are buy they allow their emotions carry them astray. Thankfully a slap has a way of jolting u back to reality. There are a lot of decent men out there but they may not be flashy. As u lay ur bed so u lie on it
