We all want good things, to be great and successful and be able to enjoy the nice things of life, but not everyone gets to see this desire become reality.

A couple of things can contribute to this, but the major one is fear. The truth is, fear is a hindrance, but another truth is that you can get things done while being afraid.

Fear is not exclusive or peculiar to you. Many of your role models were afraid while achieving the successes you celebrate them for today. They are still afraid on certain occasions. High achievers have learnt to go ahead and tick the goals in their to-do lists despite being afraid.

Most people are afraid of not being able to achieve anything, some think they cannot achieve anything, while some others are afraid of even achieving anything.  The last group are those who have the fear of success – they are afraid of maintaining success; they think they may not be able to continue to be successful.

For this group, they rather not go up, than to go up and come down again. Do your best to be successful. The truth is, what will come will come, and what will happen will happen. So, focus your actions (that you control) to being successful a.k.a achieving your goals.

Do not allow the fear of what might happen, make nothing (good) happen. This fear can make you inactive, and at the end of the day, nothing happens. What if the reason for your fear never ever appears? Remove that “feeling” that something bad will, or wants to happen, and focus on accomplishing your goals.

Take those steps, see that individual, walk into that office, write that song, write that book, go for that audition, start that business, create that group, just DO something that takes the ball out of your court. However, be cautious and wise in your actions and decisions.
