Thousands storm streets of Zimbabwe calling for Mugabe to step down | WATCH
The turmoil in the Zimbabwean political scene is reaching new heights as thousands of Zimbabweans have now stormed the streets to call for president Robert Mugabe‘s resignation.
In a video shared by AFP on Twitter, they can be seen chanting and holding banners requesting the 93-year old to step down from power.
Mugabe has held power in Zimbabwe for 37 years and is Africa’s oldest and longest serving Head of State.
Earlier this week, the military placed him under house arrest in an attempt to get him to relinquish power. Negotiations are ongoing and the ruler, who on Friday, made his first appearance since house arrest, is said to be resisting pressure to step down.

Mugabe’s cup is full. He had better do the honorable thing and step down. As for other shameless sit-tight african leaders, Biya and co, your turn is coming.
