Following the premiere that held in Maryland, USA in August 2017, Tope Fajingbesi Balogun; CEO House of Ganiyah and Coordinating Trustee United for Kids Foundation and her team hosted the first edition of She-EO; a talk-show style experience, in Lagos on Saturday, January 13, 2017.

Themed She-EO; Make her, Meet her and Be her, the event held at Clear Essence California Resort and Spa with a carefully select group of female top executives that cut across industries such as medicine, banking and finance, entertainment and the entrepreneurs were not left out.

The guests were welcomed by the She-EO team led by dedicated members of United for Kids Foundation with goodie bags filled with gift items from sponsors.

The all-day event progressed with a session titled ‘Money Matters’ that was led by Shola Soyele and in the hot seat were Bolanle Shobowale and Toyin Kekere-Ekun. This session was designed to encourage women to find viable investments and encourage sustainable accountability. Other sessions embodied the themes; physical and mental health, mindset styling, making love work and how women can attain and sustain excellence in every area of life.

A few of the guests in attendance were; Bashirat Odunewu, Group Executive, International Banking Group at First Bank; Toyin Gbagi, Partner at KPMG; Dr. Ukwuori-Gisela Kalu, Clinical Psychologist; and Ngozi Adebiyi, CEO, OutsideIn HR.

After nine engaging and interactive sessions, the event ended with a raffle draw where the sponsors gave out gifts including a voucher from Aaduke Fashions worth N50,000. Every woman left ready to embody all the issues that come with being a woman in business, paid employment and in life generally, and felt equipped with tools needed to break through glass ceilings.
