People plotting to “falsely impugn my name” – Jonathan
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has alleged that certain people are plotting to spoil his image.
Jonathan wrote on his Facebook that he’s learned that while he’s away in Sierra Leone “promoting democracy,” a campaign will be launched against his image. He wrote:
It has been brought to my attention that while I am away promoting democracy in Sierra Leone, a campaign will be unleashed against me to falsely impugn my name using both faceless and identified persons.
When I was in power I said my ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian. Even out of power, I continue to hold that belief.
What I will say however, is that no matter how far and fast falsehood has traveled, it must eventually be overtaken by truth. GEJ.
The former president has been in the news lately after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said about $289 million was shared by Jonathan a few days to the 2015 elections.
Reports have also claimed proof of even more cases of corruption carried out by Jonathan have been found.
