Comedian AY Weds Heartthrob Mabel

The Couple: Fast-rising comedian AY (Ayo Makun) and fiance/mother of his daughter, Mabel
Their Story: Ayo and Mabel have been a couple for several years and are blessed with a beautiful daughter named Michelle. The ever-jovial Ayo recently commented that ‘I love my wife and her legs trip me a whole lot. One of the reasons I married her was because of her fine legs’.
The Ceremony: On the 29th of November 2008, the Household of God Church was swathed in Turquoise Blue & Gold as Ayo and Mabel came together to solemnize their union. AY is often referred to as Household of God Pastor, Chris Okotie’s ‘son’, therefore it was not a surprise that Chris conducted the entire ceremony including the rendition of several praise songs. AY’s Best Man was fellow comedian Bovi Ugboma and various other entertainment industry friends including Ali Baba, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Faze, Gbenga Adeyinka, Stella Damasus and many other graced the occasion.
Such a cute couple! Mabel is absolutely stunning as well. As Proverbs 18:22 says “He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord”. Only a week after his wedding, AY won the Diamond Award for ‘Best Comedian of the Year’, the award package includes a whopping 1 million naira prize and a brand new car!

THe dress is FABULOUS!!! LOVE IT. its fits her to a tee and NOT white (duh, she don born pikin)…. plus she looks beautiful in it too. her bright bouqet compliments it well i think and the bottom is wat makes the dress work for me.
not too crazy abt the bright yellow and bright blue for the bridesmaids tho but somehow the whole thing works.

My church will let you get married after some serious repentance talk with Pastors and all. I’m not pentecostal. We’re just Orthodox!

in my church they wouldn’t hv wedded dem since dey hav a child, they’ll just do a small blessing or ceremony 4 dem…as 4 her dress the bottom is a bit busy, and thnk God she didn’t wear white as some brides (even wit a protruding tummy) do… hw come d groomsmen look beta dan the bridesmaid? abi is it my eye?

Even if the world is changing…do you go to church? Silver just said rightly, white dresses are traditionally for virgin brides (means purity) so the bride was honest in picking the right color.
Unfortunately, virgin men were never given a color code!

They ALL look gorgeous, the hair, the makeup, etc., but gawd, the colors of the bridesmaids dresses were just awful! And that has nothing to do with jealousy, it’s a fact! Perhaps it is the lights that make the colors look weird in photos. The bride is gorgeous, and the little girl is an absolute doll.

Silly colours! What was the inspiration? Comedy or costume? Bride was pretty but she should have returned the animal skin she used for her dress. Poor animal, I am sure s/he is pretty cold now.

It ugly even for a pretty girl. ok let cut the bride some slacks she dont have taste so she employed a wedding planner to choose her dress and the bridesmaids so note the person and murder her for spoiling your wedding photo album. Well osi seem you are one of those who think they just need to open their mouth sad thing only noise comes out. Didnt say it was a bad wedding just the colours and point of correction, colours are what makes a wedding not the A-list guest. The couple are beautiful.

i love the wedding dress. flatters her figure and she decided to stand out of the crowd and not wear white as usual. our people have fallen for the myth that you have to wear white if u havn’t had a child out of wedlock and thats absolutely false. there is no written law that says it. what abt the women that walk to the altar when they’re pregnant? isnt it almost the same thing yet they wear white. i’m not really feeling the bridal train’s style of dress. but yea, i wud give the colour combination a 7 out of 10
