Its a few hours to the end of 2009.
Everywhere we look, people are making their big plans for the new year.
One of those people is Nigerian star, Nike Oshinowo.
In 2010, she will be launching her lifestyle brand including her new workout DVD, fragrances, skincare and haircare products.
The first product – the workout DVD is all about promoting fitness, wellness and healthy living.
Mrs. Oshinowo-Soleye is the January cover lady for Hi Magazine.
In the issue, she discusses her workout video, marriage, beauty as well as other topics. I am glad that Nike speaks out on endometriosis; a lot of Nigerian women suffer from this condition and its great to see someone in the public sphere talking about it,

Nikes plan will have some credibility if she is a true representaion of the average 44yr old. her campaign is unrealistic becos the typical 44yr old nigerian woman would have had children. give me a 44yr old thats been through childbearing (a la Davina mcall, elizbeth hurley to mention a few!) and i will take it more seriously.
Naturally she still looks as good becos she’s never had children not becos she’s worked hard to have a good body at 44!

Why do we women hate on other women so much? I think she looks good, photoshop or no photoshop and I do know 44 yar old women who look as good, it’s called stringent exercise, even Beyonce has to work to keep her figure like that, it has nothing to do with age. Also don’t understand why child birth keeps coming up..there are people who will always be slim no matter what. I think this shoot was tastefully done, I don’t know her personally so I cant comment on her persona and if I did I would not do so on a blog,I think it’s petty and cowardly to take out personal angst behind the anonmity of the comp screen. I think Nike looks good and should be an inspiration look-wise for women on maintaining one’s physical self. Also, it’s not often a brown-skinned sista is given shine amongst us Nigerians and we should encouraged by celebration of beauty in all colors. I don’t know what her personality is like, but her physical self is pretty. Some are offended (or jealous) b/c Nike has not had children and has access to a lifestyle that has not run her body or facial features to the ground. However, those that feel this way must consider that not every woman that is 44yrs of age and childless looks this good or good at all. There are even younger women with no children that look a hot mess as there are women with children that look good such as Sade Okoya and Bianca Ojukwu. The point is looking good, whether one has children or not, depends on many factors including genetics, lifestyle, motivation to look good, mental state, health, etc.
The fact is, Nike has something to work with and it is a matter of genetics, lifestyle, motivation, etc. Nike obviously got lucky in genetics and has refined what nature gave her through a healthy and comfortable lifestyle and alleged help from surgeons (which is okay when properly used).
You all that are offended or jealous of Nike can do the same. She is not stopping anyone from looking good. Devise a daily fitness plan that incorporates cardio and weights for 45 minutes to an hour 4-5x per week, stop over-eating, drink water and eliminate sugary drinks and soda, eliminate white flour based products such as white pasta, white bread, baked goods and select whole grains, eat your fruits and veges, get your 8 hours of sleep, go to bed on time, manicure and pedicure your nails as needed, find a hair style that compliments you and maintain it, take up an am/pm skincare routine that includes a good sunscreen (my dermatologist recommends Neutrogena spf 55 with helioplex), stop smoking and drinking, find a profession that won’t run you down physically and mentally, develop a supportive network of friends and family, maintain a healthy mental state as best as you can, don’t use illicit drugs, watch the company you keep, limit drama and stupidity in your life, be kind, smile, stop hating, be happy for others, pay another woman a compliment (it won’t kill you), etc.

The Beef that Nigerians have for each other knows know bounds. All the woman did was pose for a photo shoot and might i add well shot and well done but no that is not enough to please some. I have followed Oshinowo for a number of years and i am always stunned and amazed as to how beautiful smart and sexy she is and as well as private.
She is sexy and has one hell of a body. I am again in awe of her!!
Nike is one of the finest women in the world. She has a natural beauty, and to top it off, she’s just elegant and classy. I’m not even exaggerating, my mom is 55yrs old, with six children, and looks this fabulous. I personally don’t find anything wrong with doing a little something here and there, don’t just go too far. My mom works out a lot, eats every healthy, and she looks great.
