even or a man like me that loves them women with plenty flesh in the right places (take a bow Ms. Jill Scott), i must confess that Nike Soleye, is effortlessly the most stylish, sexiest and gorgeous Nigerian woman.I mean both dead and alive.

Lets not get carried away. Nikes plan will have some credibility if she is a true representaion of the average 44yr old. her campaign is unrealistic becos the typical 44yr old nigerian woman would have had children. give me a 44yr old thats been through childbearing (a la Davina mcall, elizbeth hurley to mention a few!) and i will take it more seriously.

Naturally she still looks as good becos she’s never had children not becos she’s worked hard to have a good body at 44!

I will take a campaign by helen prest more seriously becos she has teenage children and still looks as good! how does she do it? i want to know.

  29. KK

    January 2, 2010 at 9:36 pm

    forget all that bad belle.
there are loads of women with no kids who look worse than women with kids.
just appreciate a good thing when you see one.
Having or not having kids has very little to do with it.
resolve to quit this petty jealousy, this new year.
It is harmful to your health.

While you are about deceiving women that it’s all down to eating right and exercising blah blah–PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO TELL THEM ABOUT YOUR LIPO AND TUCKS AND THIS AND THAT O–

Yes you look good–but HOW and WHY do you look good-
Your body has not gone through the rigours of childbirth and come back different–hence what you have always worked with is a model perfected by the surgeons knife.
THAT is what you have now fine tuned–

    Me i don’t like lies o–
And kudos to you for speaking unashamedly about endometriosis–God knows what a pain it can be to sufferers.

But abeg–try and chill about your oh so fab work out plan o–unless i go expose the cosmetic surgeons name o—

  37. Hilda

    January 4, 2010 at 11:03 am

The 1st photo said it all, plastic surgery. Notwithstanding, she still looks amazing at 44. I’m surprise to know she never had any kids; interesting. More power to her, if only every woman can afford tummy tuck, lipo et al, i bet they will all look this way.

  42. Udegbunam Chukwudi

    January 4, 2010 at 8:33 pm

It’s photoshop babes! Ain’t no plastic surgery going on here. Are you trying to say that the likes of Naomi Campbell, Heidi Klum (who’s had about 3 kids) etc have undergone lipos, tummy tucks etc?
It’s all about discipline and good genes.

  43. Udegbunam Chukwudi

    January 4, 2010 at 8:36 pm

To all those screaming PHOTOSHOP and hating, face it. Every magazine cover on earth is Photoshopped. Magazines don’t sell when the models/artists on the covers have blemishes/imperfections everywhere.

  44. Udegbunam Chukwudi

    January 4, 2010 at 9:30 pm

    LMAO. I second that.

maybe she has, maybe she hasn’t, it realli shldn’t boda u….

  50. silva

    January 5, 2010 at 1:31 pm

i agree with the Helen part…

  51. Janele

    January 5, 2010 at 3:53 pm

Why do we women hate on other women so much? I think she looks good, photoshop or no photoshop and I do know 44 yar old women who look as good, it’s called stringent exercise, even Beyonce has to work to keep her figure like that, it has nothing to do with age. Also don’t understand why child birth keeps coming up..there are people who will always be slim no matter what. I think this shoot was tastefully done, I don’t know her personally so I cant comment on her persona and if I did I would not do so on a blog,I think it’s petty and cowardly to take out personal angst behind the anonmity of the comp screen. SMH.

  52. Nnena

    January 5, 2010 at 4:40 pm

So your point is that EVERYONE that needs surgery must have had kids?Or??
    siddon there
And why should it bother me?
I said she DOES look good–BUT she should not mislead anyone with her claims of exercise and eating right–
Nike has had surgery–it is an OPEN secret.

Then the person that mentioned heidi klum and naomi campbell–
    I laugh–
Yesss a lot CAN be down to genes–but please do not tell me that some of you are gullible enough to believe that most of these women do not TWEAK themselves-
Because someone is not looking like Joan Rivers does not mean they haven’t had surgery.
Just ask Dr……………………. for his client database.

  53. Olivia

    January 5, 2010 at 5:35 pm

She looks absolutely beautiful!!!!! That’s the #1 main Fact.

All the Haterations….lol….Pls stop showing your unhappiness and depressed states. So what if she’s gone under the surgeon’s knife????(Not proven, btw). Not everyone who’s had a lift, tuck, lipo, botox etc come out looking beautiful. She’s not had a baby? so damn what? Doesn’t mean her beauty is any less……The lady is beautiful and has a great sense of style. Can we learn to focus on the positives and let go of our inner pain instead of projecting them on others.
Most stars in Hollywood and elsewhere have had some kind of work done but that does not mean we can’t name those that are beautiful among them…She’s got it and she’s keeping it in good order…leave the woman be!!!!! I tire for our bad belle sha.

  54. vivian o

    January 5, 2010 at 8:52 pm

I think Nike looks good and should be an inspiration look-wise for women on maintaining one’s physical self. Also, it’s not often a brown-skinned sista is given shine amongst us Nigerians and we should encouraged by celebration of beauty in all colors. I don’t know what her personality is like, but her physical self is pretty. Some are offended (or jealous) b/c Nike has not had children and has access to a lifestyle that has not run her body or facial features to the ground. However, those that feel this way must consider that not every woman that is 44yrs of age and childless looks this good or good at all. There are even younger women with no children that look a hot mess as there are women with children that look good such as Sade Okoya and Bianca Ojukwu. The point is looking good, whether one has children or not, depends on many factors including genetics, lifestyle, motivation to look good, mental state, health, etc.

The fact is, Nike has something to work with and it is a matter of genetics, lifestyle, motivation, etc. Nike obviously got lucky in genetics and has refined what nature gave her through a healthy and comfortable lifestyle and alleged help from surgeons (which is okay when properly used).

You all that are offended or jealous of Nike can do the same. She is not stopping anyone from looking good. Devise a daily fitness plan that incorporates cardio and weights for 45 minutes to an hour 4-5x per week, stop over-eating, drink water and eliminate sugary drinks and soda, eliminate white flour based products such as white pasta, white bread, baked goods and select whole grains, eat your fruits and veges, get your 8 hours of sleep, go to bed on time, manicure and pedicure your nails as needed, find a hair style that compliments you and maintain it, take up an am/pm skincare routine that includes a good sunscreen (my dermatologist recommends Neutrogena spf 55 with helioplex), stop smoking and drinking, find a profession that won’t run you down physically and mentally, develop a supportive network of friends and family, maintain a healthy mental state as best as you can, don’t use illicit drugs, watch the company you keep, limit drama and stupidity in your life, be kind, smile, stop hating, be happy for others, pay another woman a compliment (it won’t kill you), etc.

    Happy New Year!!!

    January 6, 2010 at 11:26 am

on another note, you might be an even bigger olodo.
who cares what Nike has done or has not done?
Who is stupid enough to take at face value comments in a rag tag?
the fact is that there is nothing she has done or will do that has not been done by others, without the effect and result she has managed.
The most important fact is that she is the most stylish and sexiest Nigerian woman alive.
I don’t even like them thin (which Nike is in my books) but that truth is inevitable.
What she has done is up to her and i am not interested, as i do not wish my partner to do any of those.
Olodo, keep your open secret to yourself.

abeg abeg, make the aunty go sit down. Is she trying to be madonna or something? she should burn those flabs and then get rid of those awful stretchmarks on her tighs(oh God she has so much strtch marks there…very ugly). Nike cant even run a small distance talkless of doing the rigoruos training madonna does at fifty…abeg make she go sleep. She realised she’s been forgoten and thought of a strategy to come back…wonders…wonders, begging the same press she’s always talked down upon to feature her in their magazines.

@Nnenna: I’m die hard addict of celebrity hood and I’m sure ain’t gullible that most of these women tweak themselves.

It’s just quite sad that some insecure lot can’t handle other people being prettier than they are and so dive @ conclusions that every Tom, Dick & Harry who looks amazing has had cosmetic surgery.

The Beef that Nigerians have for each other knows know bounds. All the woman did was pose for a photo shoot and might i add well shot and well done but no that is not enough to please some. I have followed Oshinowo for a number of years and i am always stunned and amazed as to how beautiful smart and sexy she is and as well as private.
She is sexy and has one hell of a body. I am again in awe of her!!

    January 8, 2010 at 2:13 am

Nike is one of the finest women in the world. She has a natural beauty, and to top it off, she’s just elegant and classy. I’m not even exaggerating, my mom is 55yrs old, with six children, and looks this fabulous. I personally don’t find anything wrong with doing a little something here and there, don’t just go too far. My mom works out a lot, eats every healthy, and she looks great.

The lady is still banging hot at her age although I think she should lay off the swim suits and leave it to 20 year olds. How many Nigerian women at her age look this good. Too much amala and akpu will not let them look like this. Go Nike…

  78. Udegbunam Chukwudi

    January 17, 2010 at 4:44 pm

To all those screaming, she didn’t give birth so as to maintain her figure, quit talking stupid. She suffers from endometriosis and could be infertile as a complication.

Some women really surprise me with how unsympathetic they can be towards a fellow woman’s plight. Thank God for your lives and try and find happiness for others.
