New Video: D’Banj – Fall in Love

Ok, here is the deal – D’Banj’s “Fall in Love” is one of our favourite songs from his last album “The Entertainer” so forgive us if we are a bit nit-picky when it comes to this one.
The video for the song has just been released and it features D’Banj and the Face of Africa 2010 finalists. The girls have been given various “characters” to play like “Rock Chick”, “Russian Princess”, “Harajuku Girl” etc…
It seems like a cool concept but for some reason, it just does not seem to click!
The Face of Africa girls are pretty but you can tell they are novices. Besides, there is a difference between being a model and a video vixen…these girls are models.
However, its still a great song and we love the ‘face transitioning effect’ in the video, especially the final one!

See some of these girls are okay to look at but da rest, my goodness, no be anything super model about dem.. except Dbanj in his pink fringe wig, now that is ish is mad funny and entertaining, which is what he is but.. the video DOES not suit da song at all. no dey vex o, just my own 2 cents. I love da song though very very much.

The song already had a good story line…but sorry our director could not understand a bit of it…maybe that is why he has even refused to put his name in the video.

I want to believe that this is not the video for the fall in love song!!!! Jeeez! WTF? The girls look like robots who dont even know how to move their bodies properly, whats up with the lollipop sucking girl? Its just not cool at all. And to top it up, the koko mansion winner Bolanle dance with Dbanj just does not jell at all, she’s just so stiff like she was not sure if she should dance close to him or not… abeg I hope this is just promotional stuff for the models and nothing much. chei I’m disappointed.
