Ready to Get Quizzed by Your Favourite Celebrity? Watch Out For MI, Omawumi and Wande Coal on MTVBase.IQ

MTVBase.IQ is a brand new celebrity driven show on MTVBase Africa. The show kicks off this week and all through the season, stars including MI,  Sound Sultan, Omawumi, Dr. SID, Wande Coal, DJ Humility and Mo’Cheddah accompanied by MTV VJ C-Von will be ambushing their fans in their local hotspots with an impromptu quiz.

Artists and music fans alike are challenged to prove how much they know about Nigerian music and street culture through a series of specially designed MTVBase questions on Nigerian artistes, song lyrics and more!

MTV base.IQ Sweetened by Buttermint is an innovative quiz show which sets musicians, DJs, sports stars and celebrities against die- hard music fans. Recorded in various campuses, neighbourhoods and local spots around Lagos, Nigeria, Base IQ’s major aim is to give young Nigerians the chance to represent where they come from by putting their musical knowledge to test.

Base IQ debuted on the August 18, 2010 and is divided into two series, Series 1 will run for thirteen fast paced episodes, while Series 2 will continue in January 2011. Solely anchored by Cynthia Okpala (C-Von) the show is supported by Buttermint and fans will be able to participate by logging on to MTV Base official website www.mtvbase.com.

Cynthia is MTV’s only Nigerian VJ; the 24-year old computer science graduate from Ebonyi State University first came to public attention after winning the MTV & MTN VJ Search in Nigeria in November 2007. Cynthia recently got engaged to her sweetheart Ozoemena Mbanefo and will be getting married later in the year.

The show premiered on Wednesday August 18 2010 on MTVBase Africa (DStv Channel 322). It will be aired weekly on MTVBase, STV and AIT this week.
