2010 ended on a high note for Nigerian rapper, Sasha. She became the first Nigerian female to win the Best Female Award at the 2010 MTV Africa Music Video Awards which took place in Lagos. She also performed all around the continent including a special concert during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
For Sasha, 2011 is all about the music! She will be releasing her long-awaited sophomore album “Sasha Speaks” in March 2011.
Here are two brand new singles from the album – “Ma Wo Be” featuring Brymo (of “Oleku” fame) and “Don’t Stop“.

Nice album cover. Hope the content will be nicer.
am first
Okay so I really don’t know what to say, I’ll try to be constructive here. Sasha should change her record company; the production values on these two songs are really low. The tracks seem rushed and amateurish.
Sasha has been in the game long enough and I don’t think she has dropped a really outstanding album yet. A few good songs( ewa bami jo, adara, makin money ) but we’re yet to see a solid album from the self-titled First Lady. There are some young ladies coming up now, so she really has to up her game.
PS: I’m pretty sure Bella wouldn’t post this comment as it seems that the New Year’s resolution of the BN team is to turn the site into one huge smarm-fest. If this comment gets moderated as well, then that will have to be that!
Lol..peperempe. I guess they proved you wrong. Quite honestly, I’ve tried to get on the Sasha bandwagon in the name of female empowerment support, butI just can’t. Her skills are commendable at times, but I refuse to spend money on her when men are doing a better job than she is in my opinion. That would be like affirmative action.
Mo’Cheddah is on fire, new in the game, and giving all the female rappers a run for their money.
you’re not alone, I’m not really into Sasha either, despite all the hype.
I guess she just isn’t MY style.
nice songs
very nice i feeling dont stop more!
opps i meant im feeling dont stop more
nice one brymo….sasha pls up ur rap
Im not Nigerian but,I love Sasha Go girl!
i think the part that gets to me is the self acclaimed title. certainly not “rapping” up to that name sasha..if this was the year 2000 this just might fly…the game has changed…follow suit
Brymo sha saved the first track.
honestly he did
cant help but love sasha but the comments are on point. the competition in this country now is very very fierce, be it in the fashion industry, events mgt, music, etc so i really think sasha shd up her game if she still wants to be relevant in the hiphop world in naija.she has got what it takes but i think she’s beginning to be comfortable with this 1st ladyship title that she just may get run-over by new and upcoming talent(and by now we all know that naija is the centre of talent).she shd just imagine a female version of say, wizkid as her competition. maybe that will wake her up. all the best of luck
YOU GUYS WOULD ALWAYS JUDGE ALL OF THE SONGS BUT NOW LET ME GIVE YOU GUYS THE SECRET.
Buy the H-Fi ear phones that cost N1,500 and plug them on the computers, put them on your ears then you will know exactly how all of the music on the webs sound. the small speakers that you hguys play all of the music on the web with….do not produce the original feeling of the music and so you will not be able to know which song that is nice.
Sasha is actually the queen….listen to ema ti damo on good sound system or the just released one then you will know what i am talking about.
now i hope you guys know the secret to know which music sounds good or bad
The quality of the sound system definitely plays a part in the appreciation of music. However, most people in the world use the cheap earphones but are still able to distinguish between good (M.I) and crap(insert artiste name) music. The songs just sound weak, let’s not blame it on the poor earphones!
Abi oh. That’s what “mixing” is for!
ma wo be with brymo, remind me again who owns the song?! sounds like brymo feat sasha and sasha tryna lynch the song iiish… the other song (don’t stop – “please stop”)- the beats sound recycled and…… sasha should just give up IMO… seriously
Wow! There’s a lot of negativity in these comments but its ur opinion, I’ve listened as well and I see nothing wrong with the songs maybe people should actually listen instead of trying to turn it into an exam , SA loves u sashaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Haba, cut d babe some slack nah… Even though I dont regard her as an outstanding artiste, we cant help but agree that she has helped redefined the way the ‘female mcs’ are regarded.. MTV award, Channel O.. criously, e easy at all..
dude those where won with the influence of her RECORD LABEL…HOW CAN SASHA BEAT NNEKA for BEST FEMALE ARTIST AT D MTV AWARDS …dat was pdp runs right there
Sounds ok, but…I won’t be buying this album. That said, good luck Sasha!
u guys are all haters sasha rocks u guys better do ur own thing and lets see how far u can go before running down someone else thats just it
Well done Sasha.I will be buying the album..!
ermmm….. sasha is only as far as her fans can take her. noone can make really crappy music sound good. if her fans are conplaining, she is begining to loose somthing and has to restrategise. her record label is doing its work well.a good record label should push music it believes in out …good or bad. fwic brymo ……hmmmmmm
Girl u are too much joo……………….
