Stingomania, the production company behind the biopic on late rapper Da Grin, released the official trailer of the movie on Wednesday 9th March 2011 after director, Daniel Ademinokan concluded shooting the movie around 2AM today.  The tragic accident scene was the last scene to be shot; the emotion-laden scene was shot in the Mushin and Oregun areas of Lagos.

Upcoming actor, Trybson Dudukoko will play the role of Da Grin while AMAA and ZAFA award winner, Doris Simeon-Ademinokan will play the role of Da Grin’s girlfriend. Veteren actors Kayode Odumosu and Rachael Oniga play the roles of Da Grin’s father and mother respectively. Other members of the cast include Wole Ojo, Richard Dike, Gabriel Afolayan, Kelechi Udegbe and Oyindamola Odesola.

Post production work will commence from next week in a bid to meet the movie’s proposed April 2011 release date.

    • manny March 9, 2011 at 2:20 PM

haba nollywood?casting and shooting in 2 months and you guys expect quality?it wil definately be crap.why on earth do we thrive on such mediocrity?pls the makers of this movie should not destroy DAGRIN’S memory.

    • jezz March 9, 2011 at 4:06 PM

We miss Dagrin, no doubt. But why re-open old wounds, and make us cry again. Really, what’s d essence of this movie? And I see Kenny Saint Brown there, exactly what role is she playing?

    • men in black March 9, 2011 at 5:08 PM

@manny.its high time we learnt to appreciate our own stuffs.tell me ow many months of production that was suppose to be used for production.you really need to sit down and beg for an invitation card to be able to watch the premiere first hand.thanks and expect the bomb.good work stingomania, daniel and all d cast and crew, dagrins family.

    • festus March 9, 2011 at 5:10 PM

      Hey,
People should just shut up and leave d producers alone. U have not even seen d movie and some people are already running their mouths. Those who r talking have not done anything positive about Dagrin so keep shut and let d people who have spent their hard earned cash do what dey can. If d movie is a failure, dat na their wahala! And if its good we will encourage dem.
People should not just sit in their rooms and run their mouth on d internet!

    • aisha March 9, 2011 at 5:16 PM

    • Teablinks March 9, 2011 at 9:33 PM

      Awww its reali emotional.. :(

    • DG March 9, 2011 at 10:43 PM

The trailer actually looks really good, but I think they should have taken more time to develop this project. Also I feel it’s too soon after his death… it is all still so raw. Lastly I hope the family’s support was obtained and that their rights were protected. RIP DaGrin

    • Miss-cRaZy March 27, 2011 at 2:09 AM

#sad….never got to know or hear of Da-Grin until the day he died.

    • Deepee April 6, 2011 at 10:36 AM

Isn’t it to early to make this movie? And the guy don’t even look like DaGrin… Where all the make up artists are? Common people…. The 1st real one of its kind??? And we flunked it… 9ja!
