LDA has evolved mehhnnn. I love this collection, she presented it at the Thisday fashion week.
OH DEFINITELY! I used to hate on LDA in the past just because i felt she was just another nigerian “designer”. But she after ARISE fashion week, she has proven herself to be more than just another nigerian designer.
First! *round of applause*…
*grabs you and gives you a big hug* It’ll all be okay, soon and very soon.
Anyhow, dont you just love the collection?!
Wow…………nice collection
The model murdered the pose with the shorts, ah! I cant see the top and the short properly. All in all they are extremely feminine outfits. I love dresses in general so I may be biased.
love the last ten or so…previous ones a bit old-fashioned for me…the shorts are to die for! Great job LDA…
Love it!! The combination of fabrics and textures was right on point.
some were really lovely and some were nice, overall the outfits are colorful and wearable so good for them, but some of the dresses had too much going on for me. nice collection though
breath taking!
this model is toooooooo hawt. she worked all the outfits n these pieces r fabuloso:)
wowh!
Nice collection……………….
Ermmmm….. when will they start making cloths that are for the likes of us… from size 10, 12, 14 n co? we are Africans and we don’t do they gym like other countries do, some of us still try to keep it locked in our own little way so they should please make way for us. i like d collections yeah but……………… where my size de?
Fool yourself not dear. Lagos women go to the gym and they work to maintain their figures
if you are overweight contract a personal tailor to make your clothes. sizes 10 12 and 14 are not fat ‘african’ sizes, and this may come as a shock but non-africans also gain weight. *gasp*
ps: LDA herself is prob a 10. she stocks clothes for all sizes; these are just sample sizes for the presentation. get over yourself!
You order the clothes in your size? LDA herself isn’t less that a 10. Would you rather a fat model was photographed?
Having a slim model showcase your clothes doesn’t mean only skinny girls can put on them clothes.
very nice. well-done maam
BN, stop delaying ma posts o. i am very eventful o. lol
LDA did a fabulous job as usual!…she just never fails to represent.these designs are beautiful, classy, modern and on point.ilike
Lovely!! quite different from anything she’s done…although i’ve noted 2 signature looks there… all the same Lovely!
WOW! pretty collections. i love the short and top.
This is a very beautiful collection. The last dress is just amazing! The model was doing way too much tho…the lookbook is about the dresses, not the model…some of those poses make the dresses hard to see.
I agree with you, the collection is beautiful BUT i DONT agree about your model comment. She moved around a lot and really accentuated the curvature of all the pieces. Very well done to all involved in the shoot!!!!!
Wow..Oby rocked the clothes mennnn. Can i get a contact number for Beth modelling agency in Nigeria.LDA nice 1

All the outfits are lovely … tres chic!
Really like them. May be calling her soonish.
wow…the pieces are great and the model sure knows how to do her job…lovely poses..me likey
Sweet! Bella, u need to cover Alex Folzi. Two young Naija boys in Canada doing something new. x
Blush Nigeria is proud that our first photoshoot was for Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, one of the most talented and creative designers of her generation and simply a joy to work with. Great presentation, amazing looks and fabulous outfits.
Great outfits! I love this post. it’s time we nigerians showcased our personal style.
please check out my post on mixing patterns. Stay blessed.

I like that shes substituted the over the top embellishments (applique etc) with textures and form an muted the colour. some of these pieces can now interact with each other and be styled quite differently…so in this regard this to me is a very commercially savvy direction. in the past i found her outfits (at least the few id seen) such stand out pieces that i felt it would be hard to restyle and wear them in diff ways. I cant afford any of her clothes and they would suit me at all but they are lovely though a teeny bit of the quirkiness is gone. Great Job!!!!
I meant they wouldn’t suit me at all! lol
This collection is very real and has clothes that are easy to wear. Very realistic. And the model is hawwwwwwwwwt! She definitely slammed the clothes. good one Lanre.
1 word LDS….brilliant!
lovely outfits!!!!…..very wearable!!…outfit 5 is sooooo classy!!!..weldone!!
Nice collection from LDA; she is slowly moving away from her Victorian fixation but I think she could move a lot faster. Making a Victorian-inspired collection is fine but to base your entire label and ethos on an era that even the British have chosen to forget is just stifling.
Victoria was a depressed queen and Lanre’s clothes had begun to depress me, thank God she is slowly moving on.
Is it just me? LDA’s design aesthetic is just NOT working for me. I do like the jumpsuit though.
LOVES IT!
LOVELY! she always has that signature to all her designs which i really love.
VERY CHIC…. COOL COLLECTIONS
The back of that last dress is GOOOOORGE!!
WOW!!! This is amazing!! I want I want, can I get this in S.A??
luv! luv!! luv this collection… totally different from what she’s been doing and definately her best collection..
One of, if not the best lookbook Ive seen. Creative but wearable.
LOVE!!!!! i want the 8th dress!!!
The model is my friend. Yaaayy!!! she bangs…………..
The model is my cousin! woot woot!!! lol
the model is my enemy! YAY!
I LOVE this collection…LDA has evolved as a designer. Plus I love how the mo0del has nude pumps on for all the outfits ;D
I love LDA’s unique designs, I do love the excessive floral embellishments because they’re part of her Victorian inspiration. However, she could have done without a couple of the first outfits.
Going through them, I was like is this really LDA, but then as I scrolled down I was happy to see her signature looks. Her LadyLike pieces are divine! I’m already saving the pieces I’m getting.
This collection definitely displays great craftsmanship!
Fabuloousity….i applaud this lady and her creativity. I think with the right contacts/network she is ready for Barneys NY and Net-a-porter to start featuring her collection
THE MODEL TOH BADT GANNN!
Very vintage stuff. Great.

The outfits are fabulous! The model fabulous-ER/EST! I thing she is one of the best models in Naija! Seen her in a ton of magazine covers, photoshoots and fashion shows!
hey so cool
That’s it! Lanre Da Silva is officially my favourite Nigerian designer. Just a stunning presentation. I love each piece and I have never been able to say that before about ANY collection! Simply beautiful.
wot’s with the artificially long lashes…….not working for moi
All the clothes are fabulous. I want them all. LDA is blessed. She is so creative . keep up the good work. Love love LDA!
The colection is stunning but I must say that the make up and hair is quite amazing. Each hair suits the look perfectly and the make up is divine, in fact, it is FIERCE…. I actually need to check this BLUSH place out for my wedding. I was looking for a make-up artist.
How far with the models left leg in pic #4? E o ni fi photoshop pa wa! Some of the designs were very nice……and others not so nice.
I love everything I just saw! I want it alllllllll!!!
Abeg jor! She try small. I’m not hating at all. Theses designs are mostly creative but not wearable.
The make-up is amazing. wow.
This collection is her best yet, so, so on point. Kudos LDS!
love the clothes
[...] In Diaspora. The details abound in Lanre DaSilva Ajayi’s most recent collection, “Modern Age”. She debuted this collection at Arise Magazine Fashion Week, earlier this year in Lagos. The collection favors Austrian lace in particular, and is ultra-feminine and full of sophisticated, lady-like silhouettes. Check out the rest of the lookbook here. [...]
