The Coal City Stands Up for the Official Launch of Flawless by Ziggy in Enugu
Posted on Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at 4:17 PMBy BellaNaija.com
BN is constantly on the lookout for enterprising young Nigerians around the country. As we know, there is life and talent outside Lagos and Abuja. Flawless by Ziggy began as the creative brainchild of Ezinne Chime. Ezinne nursed her talent by transforming her ideas into sketches which she put on paper.
By 2009, Ezinne had transformed Flawless by Ziggy from an idea to an exciting hobby and then a full-fledged profession. And so the concept of Ziggy’s Fashion House was born.
According to Ezinne “Juxtaposing an intricate interplay of African ankara and Western designs as her trademarks, the brand Ziggy’s Fashion House is today a one stop centre for designer wears, cosmetics and beauty consulting. In 2011 and beyond, Ziggy’s Fashion House is poised to become a household name not just in Nigeria but as a global competitor.“
A few weeks ago, the official launch event for Flawless by Ziggy and Ziggy’s Fashion House took place in Enugu. There were performances by Lynxxx, I.H.S, 2CanTalk and 4EvaDPreacher then the guests were entertained as they enjoying mini-fashion shows by Flawless by Ziggy, L Venjo & Lui Pearl.

Ziggy, you still have so much to learn in fashion. The styling of the models was so off beat plus bad make up. I wouldn’t say much for the designs because they are soooo boring! I wouldn’t be so blunt all the time, but this is my humble opinion.
We all dont agree
Why such poor picture quality though? :S
Great Job Ziggy!! Love all the designs.
All the best!!
Designs are ok .
I’m sorry, nothing here works. my Ghanaian tailor at Alausa does so much more better. Just saying!
Impressive me like
her brothers r cute!…lol. nice designs…
The male models are HAWT. Lynxxx, cherry topping all the dudes in attendance. Flawless…..good try.*smile*
as for the fashion, its alright.
but finally SOMETHING for the East….its usually Lagos, Abuja, and occasionally Port Harcourt.
Is she Gov.Sullivan Chime’s daughter????? (Enugu State Gov?????)
@Orexy you are so off point….the designs are refreshing and way better with regards to the makeup i totally agree.
It is okay, no wow factor at all
*Yawns* Enugu! Even BN sef said on the ‘stage’ and not on the runway, lol. The designs are not impressive at all. They are what my tailor would make and not what a ‘designer’ would ‘design’. And what’s with the make up on the models? Ziggy biko try learn from the masters. there is lots of room for improvement.
yay! i’m glad this was in enugu, for a change.
the men’s trousers are very nicely tailored
good job! with encouragement and a bit more exposure the sky is your limit! that’s a fresh and untouched market so there’s money to be made!
She is most likely the goevernoe’s daughter…
Firstly, it’s not by force to show talent outside Lagos or Abuja if there is no talent there. Now I know there is because I live outside these cities BUT showing mediocre stuff from Enugu is only proving a false reasoning that talent lies in only Lagos and Abuja.
2. I’m happy with Lagos and Abuja events because the crowds are mixed… This event is Igbo-centric… However in my bias, Igbo kwenu! lol =P
Enugu in the house!!!O how i miss my coal city days, a great place to grow up
No mata what you do there are lots people that must complain and say all sots of negative things about you just to bring you down You did great
Yeah she is the gov’s daughter.enugu is working
pls if Ў☺ΰ ve notin gud to say shut ur trap..una no show us anyone ooo n una d̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥y here d̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥y abuse dis gey wey try…hw many gov pikin sabi do dis kin tin?no be onli to chop deir papa money d̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥y fiτ̲̅ do?? abeg ziggy don’t mind dem k…Ў☺ΰ did great
Why do some of you hate negative comments? The same right you have to give your positive comment is the same right someone else has to give his or her negative comment.
some of the designs were nice. The makeup both for the guests and models were not nice. This goes to show that there is market and untapped potential there. Enugu is also not a bad place. Way to go Ezinne. At least you’re opening new markets instead of concentrating on only lagos and abuja.
awwwwwww see Nnamdi. pls pple should stop hating and hiding behind the internet to write mean things because they are fed up with their loser lives… shes really young and her designs are age and season appropriate. lovessss ittttt….
Yay. Since I’m from Enugu, I’m happy something is finally happening there.
To be very frank, this was not the most appropriate time to unveil this venture. Looks like the brand should have been unveiled in a year or so. With this being the first of its kind in the east, you want to go big and come with a bang. Attending events, networking and somewhat using style to understudy people already flourishing in this industry wouldn’t have hurt.
Just saying, because everything looks like it was set up in two weeks by the governor’s office. It does not look like an event created by young minds. You say “daddy, I need a lil help” and then, he’ll delegate people who have no vision of your dream to oversee things. Then again, if your life is like any other nigerian dignitary’s child, your social life is pretty much overly restricted.
This is constructive criticism. With that said, I hail you for going after an initiative! Just hire professionals next time
I agree with u 100%.Constructive criticism , it is!
nothing I have not seen before…meh
Thanks BN for taking out us of Lagos or Abuja and I am sure there is more to come
seriously ur designs r gud but please nigeria has improved in their model standards the girls look like they hav been beating up next time use preety girls as models
a lot of the Igbo elites that live in the East reside in Enugu(has anyone seen all the mansions there?!), so the market is there, meaning the folks with money to spend, so i see Enugu rising in the future if they get their stuff together and get more sponsors and stuff like that.
She did a good job with the designs. It can only get better…power to the east!!!
http://gidimoregirl.blogspot.com
the guy light skinned guy is so hooooooooooooooooooooot.
Good Criticisms are ok bcos if she’s perfect dt means der’s not room for growth or improvemnet! We only get better! Tnx to those dt encouraged her n tnx a lot to those who didn’t,the mixture of both makes u a good business person! No beef at all.. Her manager
Foremost; i want to congratulate her for staging such an event and showcasing something from Enugu. And applaud her too as she is young.
Now; although she is young she must note that people don’t just applaud you for being young but also for how well it was done. She should pay more attention to details. The make up on the models was just off. The designs from Flawless by Ziggy was not bad but the others was just not impressive and boring! The tailoring of the men’s wear was nice. It’s obvious she(judging by the fact that Flawless is owned by Ziggy who is the organizer of the event) has more exposure and probably added the other designers to give the show variety. Keep improving!
Anywayz this a bold step on a right direction. Flawless by ziggy has come 2 stay and its a trademark we all need 2 embrace
Orexy chill wit d harsh talk. I’m so pleased d vibe is spreadin, who knows Asaba might soon be hostin one these…then my village Obeti
Well done Ziggy!
well done ziggy, u still have alot to learn though………
I am not a fashionista but I was probably scrolling to see something new and different but no way. Being young is the reason to do better not an excuse for mediocrity. She should always try to bring out the best, first impression matters especially in this case. The models, I was wondering whether one of them had a kleg or she was just posing. they are not just there for me. I still give her the credit for trying to do something for herself but unfortunately I am allergic to substandards.
she try! nice one gurl but abeg o criticism is good and help one grow faster so negative comments is allowed
Ziggy’s brother is fine oh!
but hellz to the naw at the three chicks posing with cell phones. mgbeke united
Okay, is that all? Most of the outfits will look better when they finished. next!
I like d idea behind it all. But try harder next time. I also like d fact dat it doesnt have to be just abj and lag. Come to jos and see raw talents. Kudos ziggy
I’m sure Ziggy is open to criticism for improvement. If you are the governor’s daughter get money from your dad and attend a fashion school and learn all there is to learn
chai….dat tochukwu dude is fyn ooo!
Nice one ziggy,@tatafo united stp hating, does gals we’re actually answering calls bf d pic was taking.its nt a must to comment,if u dnt hav any reasonable thing say put ur mouth nd ur fingerz proper.
Unexciting collection…I wouldn’t wear any of those
WELL DONE ZIGGY!!!
Great designs, great place and great guests
Like many people here already, I don’t think the designs were out of this world wow. But I must confess that the first comment hit me like a wave of bad breath. No constructive criticism there at all, just negative talk. Agreed everyone is entitled to their comments, + or – but negative has its degrees and that first one?
Well, Ziggy apparently you have ideas, you probably sew well too. We expect better next time. Improve on your best and make it exceptional. We hope to be WOW-ing next time we see your work.
i’m just seeing this 4 the first time, i ‘m so proud of u ziggy…. U won’t hav a better yesterday in this profession of yours, just make sure u focus on excellence…… God’s grace..
