“Two Brides and A Baby“, the brand new movie by producer Blessing Egbe hits cinemas in Nigeria today. The romantic comedy drama has received positive reviews from movie press who viewed the film at a press screening in October 2011.
On the 19th of November 2011, “Two Brides and A Baby” celebrated its official premiere in Lagos. As expected, Nollywood stars were present to support Blessing Egbe and the movie’s director – Teco Benson.
The Synopsis
For Keche and Bankole, this was a chance to showcase what they thought was a perfect union. They planned for a beautiful wedding and hoped for a blissful life thereafter.
…until the unexpected happened
Now they must together fight for what they believe in or forever lose their hope of a happy life together.

Stephanie looked effortlessly fab! Some of the other ladies looked like they were trying too hard. Hope the film premiers in London. It looks good although I couldn’t tell it’s a comedy from the trailer. It could’ve done with a bit more pace – think Jumping the Broom.

I had the misfortune of watchingthis movie last friday at Silverbird in Lagos. It was the worst thing i had seen at the cinema since Mirror Boy. It was flat and uninspiring. The acting was nothing spectacular (apart from Kalu Ikeagwu) and the script left a whole lot to be desired. It was a waste of my money and time. Almost ruined my friday night. If you have not seen it, please give it a miss.

I watched this movie on thursday and i’ll say it was a good improvement from most crap out there. Though the script was a bit jumpy in some parts…..it was ok overall. Kalu for me nailed it. He wasn’t his normal posh, proper english self rather he was a loose cannon….which was different. I liked the movie because it was more straight to the point than most nigerian movies but i’d say some or most of the flashbacks didn’t add up….it was quite haywire. The idea of the film is like that of ‘i love you beth cooper’….it focused on events that happened on one day which is the day before the wedding and the realisation/acceptance of self or situation the next morning plus the cast spoke very well. No america wonder or anything well except for one girl that tried to ruin it with her Gad pronunciation. For that i’ll give them a ‘C’. Nice job.
