Everlasting Bliss: Oyinkansola Ogundipe & Oluwadare Famuyide Wed

Some search all around the world for love, while others are pleasantly surprised to find it…just around the corner! Oyinkansola Ogundipe and Oluwadare Famuyide met years ago while they were neighbours in Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos. One day, he gave her a ride home from her university; from that point, they connected and their friendship soon grew into a relationship.
After six years of dating, Oyinkan suspected that a proposal was in the horizon especially after Dare got her to try on a ring tester for size but he still surprised her with a magical proposal a year later. One day, he called her up and invited her out for a romantic dinner. While they were in the restaurant, Dare whipped out a stunning ring and asked his love, Oyinkan to be his wife! Oyinkan describes this moment as “absolutely amazing“!…You know she said YES.
On the 14th of January 2012, Oyinkan and Dare committed to share their lives, together in holy matrimony. Oyinkan was a stunning bride in her gorgeous custom-made ivory mermaid dress with hand embroidered three quarter sleeves and a corseted bodice bedazzled with Swarovski crystals. For her walk down the aisle and vows, Oyinkan completed her bridal look with a lace-edged tulle cathedral length veil while Dare was handsome in a bespoke grey suit. After their sweet “I Dos”, the couple moved on to the reception which was vibrantly decorated in bold red hues! The bridesmaids, flowers and guests in their aso-ebi also infused this signature colour into their looks. The bride wasn’t left out as she clutched her red bouquet and added a hidden touch of red via the soles of her glittery Louboutins.
It was all fun at the reception with a surprise performance by superstar Wande Coal and lots more!

Yes oh! Bella Naija, you keep us devoted wedding fans waiting too long for these wedding posts. I mean, the videos of Stephanie Idahosa’s and Chidi Mokeme’s weddings were great but we don’t see things in the same detail as we do with the pics (and sometimes our broadband won’t allow some of us to view the videos anyway). Please now don’t be keeping us starved of wedding pics for so long. So we will expecting another post in a week’s time, right?

@scouser, the guy almost definitely did not spend all the money for the wedding, as it is a yoruba wedding he probably bought only his suit and their rings. In the Yoruba culture, the brides family does most of the spending

what has that got to do with anything?? if you don’t like lavish weddings don’t look at bellenaija SIMPLE. if you know you cant afford the vendors, use cheaper ones.

At first I was like wow what a wedding, nice pictures/entertainment blah blah, totally missed the video. She speaks so glowingly of her husband, she continuously emphasized his character and I think that is what every bride should aspire to – someone with integrity.
