On Thursday 28th June 2012, Leading Nigerian lifestyle publication TW Magazine in partnership with Main Events and Campaigns held a tea party in honour of the trailblazing veteran actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett. The exquisite affair which took place at Medici Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos had in attendance guests from the creme de la creme of the society including Make-Up pro Tara Fela Durotoye, Fashion Designer/Stylist Tayo Shonekan, Tinsel actress Iretiola Doyle and Nigerian musician Zaki Azzay.
The strictly by invitation event co-sponsored by UBA kicked off with a great start as guests were treated to a reception of champagne cocktails by the event sponsor Veuve Clicquot and sumptous cupcakes, scones, pastries and deserts provided by Hans and Rene as well as sandwiches by Araba’s and a wide selection of specially brewed teas.
The event also featured a fashion show of stunning hats and headpieces by Embellish Me & Aimas. After that, the guest of honor was presented with a bottle of limited La Grand Dame champagne and a luxury travelling bag by Veuve Clicquot and also a set of double stranded freshwater pearls from TW Magazine. At the end of the day, guests were given fantastic goody bags by Main Events, TW Magazine and Reeds & Scents.
A big kudos to TW magazine for celebrating the acclaimed actress who has for years been entertaining us. BN was on the scene at the event and we humbly present to you all the photos from the beginning till the end.
ENJOY!

So many decent and beautifully dressed guest having “clean fun”. Madam Taiwo Ajai- Lycett deserved the honour!
Awwwwwwww lovely! she’s looking fresh. well deserved honour.
Classy!
wow… very classy event and well organised.
o another note… most ladies particularly models need to learn to scrub/exfoliate their knees and elbows… the difference in skin tone shouldn’t be that much. *please don’t shoot me*
and moisturise as well….coconut oil is good for that too
Lovely and extremely tasteful!!
Abeg how come no one talked abt the food esp the cupcake and that 2 coloured inner cake(yellow and pink).I literraly drooled over it.
Lovely….
Still wondering why every single event in naija must have a fashion show….How does it tie in
And abeg oh, no more BGT now BKW…Bukky Karibi-Whyte
A gathering of decent, modestly dressed Nigerian Ladies. Not a show of sagged boobs n cellulite ridden thighs.
I love it.
Tara never looks fabulous.I don’t know why.not her dress not her makeup.
Did Zakky forget his torchlight???? Lolz
lmao @ “forget his torchlight..”
Evann, do you see the age of most of the women at this event? Stop writing rubbish there. It’s a gathering of older Nigerian women. Don’t expect young women to dress like they are in their 40s and up.
this event is a definition of CLASS.
Zaki Azzay has gotten rid of the torchlight…thank heavens… Next should be his zebra print skull cap…lol…Looking good dou.

“on jumpsuit” sigh!!
I was beginning to think it was a food fair. Why so much emphasis on the food?
its called attention to detail.
It look like the not so called celebrity dress better than our celeb…or their celeb???
The party was as classy as Ms Taiwo. Does she still act?
Pastrylicious! Clap for whoever had the good sense to capture all those photogenic bakes. Cool.
The thing Ad Onyenokwe is wearing is very becoming. Beautiful.
