btw, I’l check out the website. Hope they can ship deliveries to the UK?

      • Kathlin July 31, 2012 at 7:57 PM

The website isn’t coming up, hope it really exists. I’ve tried checking it up and there’s nothing coming up :-(

    • tybay July 31, 2012 at 7:44 PM

That red sandal she’s sporting isn’t bad. But the way her toes spill out of the front is quite unsightly. That said, i don’t see her designs taking over the world…*Just Saying*

    • annie July 31, 2012 at 7:52 PM

It’s good ini edo is really buisness minded not just an actress but a producer and now a shoe line.Do ur thing girl.

Ini Edo go and partner with someone who has a fashion sense, then you can lean back and enjoy your profits. That being said, except she is coming out with something different from what i’m seeing on the site, then …… No way

      • ConcernedNigerian August 1, 2012 at 4:27 AM

    • ade July 31, 2012 at 8:11 PM

na real really na wah o

    • DiePretty July 31, 2012 at 8:24 PM

I just browsed the website. She has a pair of sandals for $350 and another for $500. I mean is she for real? You can get some CL pairs (sandals and plain low heels) for about that price or just a little more. And let’s be real here, Ini Edo is no Christian Louboutin. I think Ini should take a cue from Jessica Simpson and make her prices in the $100-$150 dollar range. Anywho, wish her the best.

      • istidele July 31, 2012 at 11:49 PM

$10 to $15 range would be more appropriate

    • @ajiriavae July 31, 2012 at 8:27 PM

The shoes look very wearable, very basic. The type of shoes that can be worked into any wardrobe. I see a lot of neutrals that can go from day to night.
Jessica Simpson shoes does business in the 100s of millions of dollars so wishing her best of luck.

See her leg in dat red shoe # aba made

    • mina July 31, 2012 at 8:53 PM

i would buy her shoes, looks nice, and she is not doing anything wrong, in the entertainment business you can venture out to make anything you want, because at the end of the day most of your fans will buy it. Good job ini

    • DMV BABE July 31, 2012 at 9:07 PM

Why are her toes touching the ground ? I will never in my life buy a shoe from ini edo collection. God forbid.

      • verlice August 8, 2012 at 3:34 PM

DMV Babe the fact that her toes touch the ground does not stop u from buying her collection cuz no be she make d shoes ok she just buy to sell back to those weh dem be interested abi!!!

    • AMy July 31, 2012 at 9:30 PM

Hhahahahahahahaha DMV BABE u dey vex ooooooooo lol

People are just hating. we know ur kind haterz. rock on girl, if she was reported stealing or killing u guys will talk bad n insult now she is reported doing something legal while trying to make a living u guys r still saying rubbish. wow what a cruel cruel world we live in???????????

    • tee July 31, 2012 at 9:45 PM

Lmaoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! BN comments will not kill me ooooo!!!!! but those shoes no try sha……..LOL

    • Ready July 31, 2012 at 9:47 PM

I liked her in Games Women Play..I applaud her for venturing outside acting, but biko what warrants a $400-$500 price tag? E pass leather, buckles, and/or studs? I don’t think she’s built a strong enough name or assured us of top quality to charge that. Why drop all that for her when there are tried and tested Italian names?
Like someone said, she should go the Jessica Simpson way–start out affordable and build from there. Imposing a high price doesn’t assure us of quality.

    • anidiv July 31, 2012 at 9:51 PM

shoes not worth 100usd sef….goodluck jonathan to her…hope she comes up with better shoes worth the price…..exit

    • Chy July 31, 2012 at 9:54 PM

Good for her and new venture. Is good to be the creator and not just the wearer…. Based on what I saw on her site as available, she is not entirely serious. Those ugly shoes on her site- Ini Edo will not be caught dead in them things. Her prices are ridiculous. those shoes should be priced at 20-60 dollars. I hope them African Americans at the Dallas fashion show she is at right now are not laughing at her. She needs a mentor before she sinks her cash into this venture.

      • Naaaa August 1, 2012 at 3:40 PM

Even Kim Kardashian prices her lovely shoes $40ish on shoe dazzle, and is raking in the bucks. This is not a wise move Ini. Start low, give us great styles and then we will get hooked!

    • me July 31, 2012 at 10:22 PM

I just went to the website, hmm, not sure what to say. Maybe it’s my connection cuz i only saw two shoes. hmmmm………still ave got nothing good to say.

    • me July 31, 2012 at 10:27 PM

Bella Naija, Is this news confirmed by her camp? I think someone is using her image and name without her knowledge. Based on the website, it can’t be a real.

    • lolly July 31, 2012 at 10:41 PM

I am sorry but all I see is copy copy. I see at least 3 enzo angiolini, 1 Jessica Simpson’s wedge, badgley mischka look alikes… I can buy the real designer shoes for less that $100 a pair… So why will I even buy a copy cat for $350. Abeg, she should focus on acting biko.

    • Janded July 31, 2012 at 11:01 PM

I wish her well but she need to re-do her business plan. She has no name internationally and her show are so high priced! Even just fab by Kimora no dear like that.

    • Finolee July 31, 2012 at 11:56 PM

great business idea, horrid looking shoes

    • Finolee August 1, 2012 at 12:00 AM

as in, people will call us haters but how can she be selling shoes, when the one on her feet doesnt even fit well. As in!!!

    • 2cute August 1, 2012 at 12:30 AM

The sandals she is wearing in the picture above did not just do justice to that dress. I know ini edo does not really have that fashion sense, i hope she gets professionals to srutinize the shoe designs before she tags her name on it becos left for her, am afraid she. …….. Well wats my own.

    • BigT August 1, 2012 at 1:06 AM

Needs a tummy tuck, but overall she has a nice body and beautiful feet. I think it’s a great idea:)!!

    • Gimmer August 1, 2012 at 1:22 AM

Credit for trying ini and y not? Losers come here to slag off her effort, I’d like to see what you myopic minded people have achieved for yourselves. Hiss.

    • d-real August 1, 2012 at 8:53 AM

Ini! Now na morning for you o! Its not just to copy and paste but to be creative. I’e seen ALL, I mean ALL of these shoes elsewhere, Aldo, Bandolino, Jessica Simpson, etc, they all have these designs for less so tell me exactly why you expect ANYONE with half a brain again why we should buy your half-baked shoes for so much more? • bellybutton August 1, 2012 at 11:27 AM

      this is so not happening!

    • Emeralds August 1, 2012 at 11:29 AM

I’m utterly shocked at this, she should be sued for copy right infringement cos all this designs are not new, i actually have 2 of them sitting in my shoe rack now, so Ini go get ur design hat on and stop making other people’s design urs.

    • Emeralds August 1, 2012 at 11:32 AM

and my advise, pls dont ever wear sandals again, always wear pumps, they’ll flatter u more and hide ur toes better……this is constructive criticism ooo. cheers

    • Bukki August 1, 2012 at 11:37 AM

People just love to hurt other people sha! Why the I won’t be buying? If you don’t like,it wasnt then advertised for you! Gosh! Let those who are interested tell her what she needs to do to improve it for them. Plenty loosers hoping others won’t make it,yet they don’t either…smh. Ini many talk of prices…so check your pricing.

    • tbn August 1, 2012 at 11:49 AM

if i have to buy a pair of shoes based on what she’s wearing, i would rather pass. See how her toes are spilling out of the shoes. smh, not nice at all…

    • tybay August 1, 2012 at 12:25 PM

hehehehehe…..Someone (@me2me) attacked me for saying the shoes aren’t bad. I just didn’t want to come across as a hater. Me cant buy any of them shoes sha.. *Just Saying*

    • NKELLY August 1, 2012 at 2:19 PM

Ini, work on the prices of your shoes, being a new entrant to the market. Give back to the society that has given to you, not buy selling a pair of shoe for that amount, smh………….

    • NKELLY August 1, 2012 at 2:20 PM

Not by i meant to say, sorry

    • freda ayooka August 1, 2012 at 2:27 PM

Gurl friend – STICK TO ACTING

    • kiki August 1, 2012 at 2:32 PM

Not trying to be mean, but she looks rachet in this photo. The dress looks like it was stolen from the Dynasty dressing room.

    • Emmygirl August 1, 2012 at 3:33 PM

Ini Edo pls save us the stress

    • Naveah August 1, 2012 at 4:13 PM

Good luck to her and her venture, at least she’s trying to diversify her fortune because entertainment business money get expiration date especially for women. HOWEVER, having said that Ini Edo must be getting high on pregnancy hormones IF she thinks any person of sound mind will pay $500 for those shoes. The website builder must have made a mistake and put dollar sign instead of naira next to the prices. My question to Ms. Edo would be this, how can these be part of a collection when you have many, many recognizable brands on the site? A collection is supposed to reflect the designers own personal ideas and inspiration, they are supposed to be ORIGINALS. This is a shoe website, let’s not confuse facts. And why is she using caucasian models? It sad how this shows an inferiority complex because they are many Nigerian models that she could have used for this project but of course, she thinks white is better. A white model will NOT make anyone buy an inferior, overpriced good, Ini. Rethink your business strategy, girlfriend.

      Recommendations:

You give a few of your celebrity friends/associates a pair each to wear when they go to important functions, what better advertisement can you get but a red hot star wearing your shoes on the red carpet? Rita Dominic (who is a shoe freak) wearing one of your shoes to an event is a sale booster!

Start low with the prices – $500 for a pair of flats is an over reach, are this shoes for the masses or exclusive to your friends who can afford it? Be reasonable! Like someone has stated, Jessica Simpson doesn’t even charge that much.

Be careful about your designs, you have these shoes on the web where anyone can see them, if Guess or Louboutin finds that you have copied one of their designs or used their logo without permission, they are coming for you full swing!

You have your name and reputation on the line, you had better come correct with trendy styles, colors and great quality. If you wouldn’t wear it, what makes you think other women would? Have a team of people who have a great sense of style assess your designs while it’s on paper or let them see the prototypes before you put it out there. You can’t assume your test is everyone’s taste and we know your taste is a bit shady sorry I call it like it is.

      • lara August 6, 2012 at 8:59 PM

You can’t assume your test is everyone’s taste …

        taste = test
        you are definitely igbo…hehehe

        • Naveah August 7, 2012 at 8:17 PM

No ma’am, I am not igbo. I think you read through my posting, it should have been quite clear that I made a mistake which I didn’t bother to fix because I figured people would get what it is I was trying to say. The fact that you brought tribe into it speaks volumes about you in a negative way…hehehe…NOT!

    • Mandy August 1, 2012 at 4:15 PM

go gal haters will keep talking trash abt u n u doin something else wif yo life n makin the bucks. Love all the way frm SA! GO GAL!!

      • Laura August 1, 2012 at 6:59 PM

The shoes are crap, and overpriced, and because of that you are tagging them a hater. What are you, 15? Please, something is not good, it isn’t. Hater, jealous, beef. My fellow females, especially, Nigerian females. There is choice in life, some things are good and admirable, some things are bad. Saying the truth doesn’t make you a hater. Who invented the word sef, that is is now being used widely. Are we in high school? If you can’t have a mature, composed and intelligent feedback to people who don’t by default, like something, because they have a working brain, and a discerning mind, and can separate, rubbish from quality. Saying hater, jealous, beef is just mentally lazy. Teenage speak, if I may add. It has become the default response now. I tire o. If you are a teenager, then I apologise, hopefully in a few years, your vocabulary and thinking faculty would have matured

    • Maksy August 1, 2012 at 4:47 PM

PS,movies you produce suck!try n focus on your acting n perfect it cos lets face it, you are no Genevieve nor omotola nor Mercy J dat came to the industry after you. u jst got lucky! so dnt push ur luck! and BN, i wont hold my breath on “ini edo collection” smh what a label name, taking over the world on fashion.

these comments have cracked me up and made my night…poor Ini…if she had known she would have told BN not to publicise the story, loll…have nothing against/for her. but i would rather buy a pair of primark shoes than a pair of shoes from Ini Edo collection…….

    • Bianca August 12, 2012 at 3:52 PM

For me, well done,I must say very impressive, only make it affordable so those who may like it would be willing to buy.Good luck.

i like this idea, its foolish to rely on just one source.movies and fashion can go for siblings.so dont hate on her, rather celebrate her achievement so someone would celebrate yours with u.

I look forward to a day when Nigerians will learn to promote and criticize constructively our own naija made goods, we have what it takes to rule the world but anytime anyone try to do something, we “kill” the person, dream, idea with our negativity, we even watch out for typos just to scorn ourselves, its sad,if she sells her shoes for $5,some will say its too cheap, therefore its fake, louboutin, aldo bla bla bla that we all rock started from somewhere, lets change our mentality and orientation, thats the first step to greatness!

Great Job Ini Edo! but i just checked your website and all your shoes are like $350 to $500. Seriously! even top designers like Michael Kors, Madonna, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton try to sell their shoes at a lower rate so that it is affordable for people. If i really want to spend $350 to $500 on a shoe, definitely it wouldn’t be Ini Edo collection. Sorry Babe but it is what it is!!!!!

Lmao lips are sealed.I can picture Tonto laughing her – out like me after checking the shoes on the website.Go Ini! Go Ini !!Go Ini!!!lol
