BN Style Trend Alert: Dungarees Are here To Stay!

Yes, dungarees have been around since time immemorial and our fore fathers and their fathers before them wore them too, but hey, they are back now and are catching on like a wild fire. From New York to London, fashion week goers have been spotted one too many times rocking them with absolute ownership of their uniqueness.

And while Gap, Zara, H&M or any of those fast fashion stores might not be readily available for a lot of us, we can tell you for free that a day’s visit to the okrika market closest to you will leave you with a multitude of dungarees option to choose from.

While dungarees might have that nostalgic collegiate feel for a lot of you, what’s most exciting about this trend is that it transcends gender and age. A man, woman, boy or girl can confidently own and rock one without feeling gender compromised.

this is such a lazy write up by the so called “fashion editor”
only one picture? are u not suppose to show us (with different pictures) how to rock dungarees.different ways both guys and girls can rock dungarees. with heels, with sneakers, with a plain white t shirt, with a long sleeve shirt etc instead u just copied one picture from a previous article and pasted it here and lazily wrote a few lines about how dungarees are back

richard akuson confess, how did u get that position as fashion editor.

This is how I see this, the title reads trend alert, so, to the best of my understanding and knowledge the writer did the title justice. if it read how to wear dungarees then it would have entirely been another thing.
So, Bruno, chill, and stop being hateful, clearly you applied for this young man’s job and didn’t get it. can you rest please and grab a pair of dungarees? 😉 lol

Well said.. He could have done better, I was looking forward to seeing lots of ideas and pictures, especially from London fashion week. Hopefully he’ll do better soon

I have to agree with Bruno this time…Richard is a lazy writer and researcher. He doesn’t wait to get enough evidence base on his write-ups before claiming intellectual and posting the story,.
Same with the Kanye West Yeezys story…one comparison and you tag it a copy cat of sort.
Uncle Richard, no one is competing with your budding ideas….If it was such a trend all through the fashion week, you should have more pictures to support the claim…
      Thanks a bunch

Really? This is why not every writer is a professional writer.

some people do not understand this occupation.

How can you just come to a whole BN a write like this? Can you do this at Vogue.
Pls change your title from Fashion Editor to Intern . Go and learn your craft.

    What a lazy write up.

  • Michael February 24, 2016 at 11:15 am

Richard just stick to wearing your clothes and dont bother writing.

  • Mrs O February 24, 2016 at 11:22 am

    OH! Mia. How sad.

Seems with all these feed backs he will sit back and learn more. Like starting all over again as an intern will help.
