Vlisco @ WOW Expo
Vlisco in-house designers showed pieces using Vlisco fabric at the Vanguard Newpapers WOW Expo over the weekend. Photos below. It was an opportunity for Vlisco to show off their ‘Touch of Sculpture’ collection including Vlisco print on voile which has been reintroduced after a long hiatus.

these are not designs. they are so very basic. just because they put 2 kinds of ankara together and make it into a basic gown or a fish-tailed skirt does not excuse the fact that these “designs” has been done over and over and can be seen everywhere in naija

yeah i do like the dresses but its almost too common.
dont get me wrong people, i like what i see above, but i gotta agree with iwalewa on this one.
too plain to be REAL designs.
but they look nice.

it’s about using ankara as part of our everyday life – for work as opposed to aso-ebi. I love the prints – and would like to wear them but aren’t textiles banned?
