Funmi Iyanda Show New Pics Bella Naija0001Funmi Iyanda‘s highly anticipated television show Talk With Funmi will premiere on Sunday February 7th on DSTV Africa Magic at 7pm.

According to a statement, “Talk With Funmi captures people and conversations around Nigeria. It is a thought provoking, illuminating and entertaining journey into the life of Nigerians from all over the country.”

Talk With Funmi journeys from state to state capturing authentic Nigerian stories. Nigerians are a people who love to talk, and Nigerians still have great stories to tell – stories of joy, laughter, hard work and success. Stories of suffering and harrowing pain; stories of hope and resilience in spite of all odds. It is these stories – our own stories — that award winning broadcaster and journalist Funmi Iyanda has set out to capture in this ambitious, pioneering television show.

For eight years, Funmi Iyanda produced and hosted the acclaimed studio talk show, New Dawn with Funmi recognized not only for its honest and down to earth interviews but also for its role in advocating for societal change, before ending in 2008.

When asked about her inspiration for the new television show, she says, “Talk With Funmi is the evolution of New Dawn. It is the result of my desire to talk to all social categories of people outside a studio setting, my need to understand Nigeria today and the hunger for something more creatively unique.”

And unique it is as Funmi gets on the road with a thirty strong crew travelling around Nigeria talking to all kinds of people –from the average Nigerian eking out their living with dignity and resilience to some of Nigeria’s outstanding public administrators.

Talk With Funmi has also been able to capture celebrities in unusual but natural settings, engaging them in eye-opening and down to earth conversations. Viewers will get to experience the people and places of Nigeria in ways they’ve never been seen before.

TWF also raises the bar with the quality of its production. Directed by Chris Dada, UK-based award winning director, Talk With Funmi is beautifully produced and shot to international broadcast standards. Excellent cinematography and deep rich colours provide viewing pleasure.

Join Talk With Funmi each week on DSTV’s Africa Magic on Sunday at 7pm and embark on a journey that promises to be fresh, eye opening and fun.

Talk With Funmi is an Ignite Media Production
