New Video: Olamide – Eni Duro
The Coded Tunes brand has been associated with the likes of 9ice, ID Cabasa and 2phat. If you argue that they represent the older generation of Nigerian entertainers, then Olamide is the exception.
He brings that fresh perspective to music that only youth can inspire. His bilingual punchlines may be a bit hard to follow seeing as half of it is in Yoruba, but he makes up for it with flow and rhyme. We’ve heard him previously on Naija We Hail along with Zara and Adol; as well as on his tribute to Dagrin.
We dubbed Eni Duro, a fun listen when we first featured it in September. Add to that the experience that veteran music video director, DJ Tee brings to table and you have a decent debut video. The grimey (“hood”) feel rocked in the video is a difficult one to pull off but DJ Tee does it just fine.
Enough talk, Let the music play.
Forgive the unnecessary comparisons here (if you will) but something about the rapper or the video (not sure which) is reminiscent of J. Cole in Who Dat?

@kk and gift am sure you guys are not talented, if u have a bit of it oyu wont be beefing a young dynamic guy coming up like olamide, dj tee tight video and as usually cabasa did justice to the song, no chorus p all thru and it still makes loads of sense. most of u guys ve left naija a long time so u dont understand the language again, go learn d language and find out how many mad punch lines dis dude dropped

how do you figure this is a lil wayne wanna be? because his flow is quick? Nigerians instead of building your own you only know how to tear them down…sad!
