But you’d be wrong to think Counter Kulture was just an event, the team explains the necessity behind the platform which CK gives to today’s youth.
“Counter Kulture aims to tackle the issues young people face on their road to self-discovery; issues such as sex, addiction, peer pressure, addiction, low self-esteem, loss of individualism and lack of perspective. The core groups we are targeting through this initiative are university students (both home and abroad) and young professionals. Counter Kulture provides a platform for young people to find themselves, be happy with who they are, develop a relationship with God which in turn will help them face these challenges.”
What is Counter Kulture: Counter Kulture is an initiative birthed by Dr. Tony Rapu, Senior Pastor and Head over the ministry expressions; This Present House, God BlessNigeria, and The Waterbrook Churches. The vision is to raise and nurture today’s youth, tomorrow’s leaders who can change the negative and degrading values that seem to be the prevailing culture, which eventually erodes the larger society.
