Africa Fashion Week 2011: Stefania Morland

The collection from Stefania Morland confines itself to monochrome, grays and metallic. We are presented with diverse cuts and styles, from cocoon shapes, to tailored pants and tulle skirts.  In my opinion the pieces that stand out in this collection are the occassion designs; the designer opts for with luxe fabrics like silks, lace and intricate details like beading. The range of beaded sheer tops she presents are definitely my favourite pieces in this collection and I absolutely love the white silk floor length dress with a peek-a-boo and black velvet bow detail!

The intricate detail really elevates the collection and the clean monochrome and metallic tones purges it of fuss.
