Femcee Emah Tells Us Her Mind on “My Behind”
Emah (real name Catherine Equere) is an up-and-coming Akwa Ibom born rapper and singer/ songwriter. She first got on the scene when Zulutag of African Roots Ent. introduced her to Freestyle.
Back then, she dropped her first ever single “He’s Mine” before taking a back seat for her education. While in school though, Emah, still driven by her career worked with producers like Sunky and Jamix; and soon after got co-signs from the likes of Kaycee Oguejiofor of Question Mark Entertainment, Shola Thompson and Djinee.
Now, with her new single, “My Behind”, the former Infinity Televisionpresenter is ready to show Nigeria what she’s made of. “My Behind”, produce by Kandy Beat, is a very playful, fun song that’s filled with sub textual metaphors and entertaining wordplay.
Emah‘s style is very reminiscent of Kel when she just started; I see a good deal of potential in Emah but I don’t think the song’s production did her justice. Enjoy!
