This Friday, United for Kids Foundation (UKF), a charitable organization established for charitable and educational activities aimed principally at less privileged children in Nigeria, will hold its first fundraising ball – UKF Passion Ball 2012, at the Clear Essence California Resort & Spa, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The event is organised by UKF in partnership with ICY PR to accelerate development and fundraising efforts of the organization. Speaking on the event, the Executive Director, ICY Public Relations, said “I am sincerely excited about partnering with United for Kids Foundation to help create better awareness for this organization. For years, we have been looking for the right not-for-profit in Nigeria to partner with and after 10 years of UKF’s hard work in Nigeria, this partnership came at a perfect time. Being in a position to directly have an impact on the lives of young children in Nigeria is humbling, and I am honored to be a part of it all.”

The UKF Passion Ball 2012 is a black tie event, an evening of elegance and glamour to create awareness and raise funds for 2013 education and healthcare programs. All proceeds from the event will go to providing and supporting many children that UKF supports everyday.

Yeah…I have been a UKF supporter for over 7 years and its amazing how without too much fanfare you can make a difference in the lives of those who really need it. I hope a lot of us with means will see this as an opportunity to to put a smile on someone’s face.

Over the past 10 years of UKF’s existence, the organisation has managed to implement projects through direct intervention to the kids that desperately require education and health relief materials. Some of our government agencies should borrow a leaf out of their book on good governance and transparency.

I hope this raises more funds for those who wouldn’t have a chance. So proud to be part of UKF. Little drops make an ocean
