Inspired by Ladies on TV! Akpos Okudu presents its Spring/Summer 2013 Collection Lookbook

Akpos 2013
The Akpos Okudu Spring/Summer lookbook is here! Based on the names of the dresses, it seems as though this collection is inspired by the “ladies of on TV”.

The collection has jewel toned satin, lace and chiffon fabrics working together to create an elegant effect. The Creative Designer Akpos Okudu Nwokekoro describes her collection as a dream to put together. “Often my art imitates life and this collection really captures this new phase in my life and the direction for the Akpos Okudu label, a little older, a little sexier. Unleash your inner siren!

most of the clothes are pretty basic. No creativity, just like something your regular tailor can get made for you. Plus some are just ill fitting. And is it just me or is the model too stiff????

      April 1, 2013 at 7:34 pm

it is just you. the model is pretty and the clothes are mot high fashion so she does not need to over do the poses.

      April 1, 2013 at 9:59 pm

lmao did you just say high fashion?… please know the meaning of terms before you call this bland collection high fashion and the model is boring.

@kmt…did you read HABBA’s post well? please read well between the lines before you jump into conclusions!

I agree. The clothes don’t fit right or maybe it’s just the model :-/

I don’t like everything but the dresses inspired by Eku, Tiwa and the black one inspired by Toolz are beautiful. x

I do picture Toolz ans Tiwa wearing the dresses named after them. It’s a decent collection but the satin material took away from what would have been really nice. Satin generally has a cheap look, so this isn’t helping matters

Nice collection, but I dont understand this recent Nigerian craze for chest baring (as opposed to cleavage baring) clothes.

The tailoring seems rather poor, the colours I find dull and dark, and no single outfit screams “gotta have it”.
