“Elementary Metropolis” – David Tlale – Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York 2014

Hey BN Style fam, it’s time for some David Tlale!

Yesterday, Sunday 9th February 2014 at the on-going Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York 2014 show, the South African designer had his first solo runway collection. David presented his Autumn/Winter 20143 collection titled “Elementary Metropolis” which is his fourth showcase at the event.

David expressed his joy at having his first solo show and feels like his career has just started.  In his words, “For our first runway solo showcasing, it was phenomenal. I feel like we have just begun. We have done the frills, the feathers and now we are focusing on the business of fashion.” He also disclosed that the next move for his brand is getting his clothes into American stores.

The collection was a success but we can’t help but miss the extravagant pieces he is well known for. Check out the collection below.
