In Lovers’ Land: Lani & Deji Wed | AkinTayoTimi
Happy Monday! BN Weddings is elated to present our 1st wedding of the week – lovebirds Lani & Deji‘s wedding in Lagos. The couple wed in January 2014 after a beautiful courtship where they became best friends, then lovers.
Lani & Deji met through a mutual friend at a birthday party and have been inseparable ever since.
About the sweet and intimate proposal – he was nervous! – the bride says, “We were at his house, relaxing, I was playing Candy Crush while he was pacing the entire house. He finally came and knelt down beside me and I burst out in laughter because I knew what he was about to do, then the proposal speech came and I said “Yes!”
TIP for Intending Couples:
“Worry less, enjoy the beautiful moments!”
From the smiles on their beautiful faces, you can see they took their own advice.
AkinTayoTimi was on hand to capture all the beautiful moments – from Deji carrying his bride at their engagement to the first kiss as man and wife.
At the traditional engagement, the bride wore resplendent orange lace embroidered aso-oke, before the couple changed into beautiful green as they made their entrance together – this time, as man and wife.
The white wedding was a magical and fun affair, where the bride wore the Hanka dress by Pronovias from the 2014 Dreams Collection, a beautiful mermaid dress with a flower pattern embroidered illusion back. The groom was her ‘something blue’ in his bespoke Austin Reed suit.
At the reception Sean Tizzle & Dr. Sid performed, which had the couple and their friends feeling over the moon!
BellaNaija Weddings wishes Lani & Deji a blessed and fruitful life together.
