Liberia Battles Spreading Ebola Epidemic
On Wednesday, there were conflicting reports that 5 people had contracted the Ebola virus in Nigeria. The health minister Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu denied the report, but the commissioner for health in Lagos Dr. Jide Idris said it was true.

Today, Chukwu told reporters at a press briefing in Abuja that there are 2 new cases of the disease from secondary contacts of the Liberian-American primary victim Patrick Sawyer.

He said he cannot be sure of the complete eradication.

According to Channels TV, they are the spouses of two late Ebola victims. They are currently being treated in Lagos.

Chukwu said the public should not panic, and that “the battle is not over but we have done very well.”

This Day, Punch and Channels TV confirm the report.

I am glad that they are actively updating the public. Knowledge is the key.
I pray the affected spouses receive divine healing from above.

This health minister is a bloody liar and a crook, what of the person that you said was cured, let that person give a press conference, stop lying to us and giving us false hope.

Bruno, Don’t be cynical. We can do without the stigma that outing the survivors would spurn, pls.

All this government cover up… there are definitely more cases than being reported. I read another FCH doctor died from Ebola, and the wife had him embalmed. The same doctor had been treated in another hospital, and also had his pastor pray for him. No idea the no of people he had contact with before his death. Let’s remain alert and vigilant, as we’re only being fed what the government wants via the media

Come on ! Who did the embalming ? Ask yourself these questions before posting trite stuff !!

The person who did the embalming apparently didn’t know the guy died from Ebola, till now he hasn’t been reported as an Ebola victim. I appreciate you’re the only smart person here, as we are daft to post “trite” stuff..good thing is that Ebola doesn’t recognise smart people, just stay safe.
