Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o appeared on a recent episode of “Sesame Street“. Just watch!

Elmo is with his good friend, Lupita. They are talking about all the great things about their skin. For example, Elmo’s skin just happens to be very ticklish. Lupita’s skin happens to be a beautiful brown color. Skin can come in all different shades and colors. Isn’t skin just the best? However, ticklish or smooth or black or brown or white or tan, be sure to love the skin you are in.

If you look at all the magazines or products ads from Kohl’s, to Macy’s, Dillard’s or
LV the black girls that are usually featured are usually those silky smooth skin Sudanese.
Because based on international standards, it’s considered more exotic, different, and gorgeous.
Not just a washed up bleached girl. To my fellow Nigerians in Nigeria, any other time you want to appoint a Nigerian girl to represent Nigerian on an international level either in “Miss World,” or “Miss Universe” you should try considering a dark or chocolate skin sister, who will STAND OUT, and not just blend in. You will thank me later.
This is coming from an Hausa girl in Texas.

And the sun gave us no relief from its relentless heat. It followed us wherever we went, whatever we said, whatever we did. It would smite us by day ….only the sleep gave us respite.

For we are the left overs, the remains of the day. God;s grace was taken from us and given to someone else.
