Lagos Weddings Now on The Next Level! 1st Photos from Joke & Azeez

Lagos Weddings are now on another level! Today we’ve been blown away by Joke & Azeez Ogedengbe‘s white wedding.

The bride wore a Vera Wang ball gown, Christian Louboutin shoes kept in a crystal encrusted shoe box by Angela’s Fantasy Creations. Her makeup was by Elaine Shobanjo of Shomya.

One of the most fascinating aspects has been the next level wedding decor by Yvent Kouture at Oriental Hotel. It’s arguably the best we’ve ever seen the Grand Ballroom look! The couple just arrived there after their Nikkai earlier today.

We wish the couple a happy married life!

Be inspired!

The unending rat race that is Lagos weddings…I’ve dropped out of it long ago; yours can never be the most impressive, someone else will always top it somehow. The best you can do is make it a happy day for YOU, and pray your marriage is a happy one. Just my 2 cents!

So true!!! I have a client, she is one of these women who sells lace and gold jewelry at Isale eko market. She makes a profit of N3M at least monthly and that is what she gets if market is bad. Other times, it could be as much as N5m. THIS IS JUST PROFIT OO. I cannot even begin to tell you how much this woman has in her account. I am her lawyer so I know.

    October 25, 2014 at 10:27 pm

Nice everything. I wish them a long life of happiness and pray their marriage is even more beautiful than the wedding ceremony. We may not be able to afford Vera Wang wedding gowns, decor by Yvent Kouture and reception at Oriental but we can everyone who wishes to marry and stay married deserves their wedding day to be beautiful. And to me, the nost beautiful thing on a couple’s day is to look into each other’s eyes and feel at peace in your soul that you made the right choice. Its not how or where you get married that matters at the end of the day…And I say this to all those who may be under pressure to impress on their wedding day. If you have the money go ahead, but if you do not, take care of the basics and enjoy your day still. Happy married life to Joke and Azeez! I raise my wine glass!

she started from hmnnnnnn then moved to laces, and now jewelry store in VI. Ex-hubby, not d groom’s dad, became local govt chair!
but i tell you either way, only a strong woman can do all that and still stand with such lovely children, hope Mr Fatai Ogedengbe showed up. beautiful one i must say, especially the decor!

thanks Bella Naija for sharing… this by far the most impressive wedding decor to date. God bless them for sharing with us their creativity and wedding day. I love it. God bless their union.
I would also like to share my mindset to those who feel under pressure to impress people on their wedding day. Please asses the reason why you want to impress. Why you want to validate people’s opinions. Measure the stress if it’s worth it after the wedding. This is bc you will need a thick skin and if you gone through stress to achieve this… note that some1 will always not be satisfied and things will not go 100 percent perfect as planned.
Mostly it’s parents who pressurize kids.. Be honest with yourself.
It’s your wedding day and full of joy… God bless you all.

Best wedding of the year. Empty barrels makes the loudest noise. No one ever thought this is what they will come out with unlike some other brides that will make noise, my wedding is going to be a fairly tale like the noise a bride made early this year, it’s a royal wedding yet , most peeps did nt get food to eat. I wish them a long life of happiness. God bless your union together.

  43. Es

    October 26, 2014 at 5:33 am

There are weddings with less money spent and the marriage disintegrated, there are others with even more money spent than this one in which those marriages have collapsed. Less money doesn’t equal happier marriage or vice versa. So if you have he money and want to make your wedding day beautiful, go right ahead… Or not.

Well it’s called the ’empty barrel syndrome”. You are surprised to find out that most of the noisy redundant faces who tend to spam us with designer labels have some silent yet serious competition out there? Such is life…even Tiwa looks like a groupie in that photo. Hahaha

    • LILO

      October 26, 2014 at 10:58 am

I was wondering too. If she did, she needs to share her skin care regimen, cos she is all sorts of flawless. Her knuckles and feet are not “enhanced” looking

Explain the automated service to me am confused lol. Between shes more beautiful than this makeup artist didn’t do her justicen it upsets me lol (none of my business though). That’s the best deco I have ever seen @ a naija wedding. Whether they spend money or not it doesn’t guarantee happiness but nothing wrong with making the day unforgettable.

    • Meg

      October 29, 2014 at 11:58 am

deedee the automated service is simply Service pagers that are put on VIP tables for guests to easily call the ushers. They push any button on the pager for food, drinks etc and the ushers assigned to that table gets an alert on a wristwatch that shows the table number and the service is prompt and no1 is ignored. the compnay that rents it out also supplies restaurants..good stuff

Dizzzzam. Level pass levels. See money. No wonder some people ‘orchestrate’ their own ‘ surprise’ wedding and pretend they didn’t know they were getting married. It can’t be easy to fund this kind of production. I won’t name names but this wedding is amaze balls pass the hyped ones sef. If you have your money, you can bring your fairy tale wedding to Lagos, you don’t have to give your money to those Arabs for basic decor and amenities

Joke is just gorgeous…see as her skin dey glow, flawlessly too

    October 26, 2014 at 10:14 am

In my mother’s voice – if you want it and you can afford it, buy it…once you walk away, you might never find it again.
If want a societal/big wedding and you can afford it – why not, have it… At the end of the day, it is your money, your wedding, your marriage and your happiness..

there are haters in this world sha. her makeup is not nice, her dress is ugly, her bridesmaids are ugly and fat, will they be happy? na all of you sabi. in these times were some useless poor men would be showing women pepper, is it not better for the useless man to be rich and be showing you pepper? at least you”ll get somat out of it. anyways, whether you want to admit it or not, this wedding was spectacular and was done with taste, class and finesse. If you replaced the couple with oyinbos, would you ask the same stupid questions? abeg go and take different kinds of seats joh. If you have the money spend it, the only time there is a problem with such extravagance is if you really don’t have it and you’re “huzzling’ seriously to keep up with the Joneses.
Joke dear, you looked lovely, your dresses were beautiful but i liked the 3rd one the best, simply gorgeous. ~you just ignore the haters and continue to sip your champers from your chrystal/diamond flutes. life is too short to care what people chocking on haterade have to say.
ps please provide bellanaija with pictures from pre wedding dinner, engagement, bridal shower (loved it!) and wedding. I need more people to choke on haterade! hahaha

ps x 2: i don’t know the babe and I’ve never met her, i just think she’s lovely.

There is money, there is class and there is taste…you don’t find all 3 often together…but at Joke and Azeez’s wedding…..the fusion of money, class and taste was flawless. God bless them
