The Nigerian military has detained five military commanders in Adamawa State for abandoning Mubi following Boko Haram’s attacks in the region.

According to Sahara Reporters, the soldiers fled last Wednesday a few minutes after the terrorists arrived the area. Two of them have been identified as Colonel Ibrahim and Colonel Magaji. The identities of the rest of the soldiers are yet to be revealed.

Another set of soldiers who are currently recuperating at MRS Hospital in Yola, are also said to have fled the battle scene in Mubi, and will be detained after their release. The vehicle in which they were traveling was involved in an accident as they were leaving, causing them to sustain injuries.

Reports state that over 300 soldiers fled the scene, and are still MIA.
