UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie Calls on More Countries to Help Fight Ebola
Hollywood actress and UN goodwill ambassador, Angelina Jolie on Tuesday called on countries across the world to do more to contain the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
Jolie made the statement in Sydney where she was promoting her new film, “Unbroken.’’
“I would say there are many countries in the world that could do more.
“We all need to collectively do everything that we can, because this is a global crisis and it affects all of us,’’ Jolie told reporters.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) the Ebola outbreak which is centered in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, has so far claimed over 5,000 lives.
Reports say no fewer than 14,000 people in eight countries were infected.
