In civilized climes the actors et al organise the fundraisers. In Nigeria we use state funds to fete our clueless actors and comedians……………diarris God in verything they are doing!

My thoughts exactly on the fund raising aspect.
On the other hand, they (Nollywood) may be lobbying as is done in other places (albeit with the naija twist that the lobbied are picking up the bill). I think Nollywood (as an industry) got at least N2 billion in the current budget. They may be trying to get more for their industry. More power to them if that is the case.

Nah everyday? Everybody is there for what they can get and who they can hook up with. Toyin will soon buy something from her share of the money then give all the glory to her small god who lives in her shrine.

BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!!! BULLSHIT!!! are they the ones to tell us who to vote for or what. GEJ and his wife are just been stupid. So they so called celebrities have suddenly become hungry, what rubbish is this.

The great old Nollywood stars: Hilda Dokubo, Alex Usifo, Larry Koldsweath, Zulu Adigwe, Chinyere Wilfred, Frances Duru, Bob Manuel, Ejike Asiegbu, Zack Orji, Ngozi Ezeonu. I grew up watching all of them. I have a major nostalgia right now. They are a reminder of my childhood.

First lady: pls try and hook up with all the domestic violence women, child bride women, obstetric fistula patients, Female genital mutilated patients, uneducated ( anyways bad combo cuz you are have no idea what that does) poverty-stricken populations and better their lives via NGO’s. Stop hooking up with the middle class people that can still fend for themselves come what may.
Actors and actresses; the world celebrate people that stand in their truth and perfect their dreams, careers and not look for easy way out via Aso rock appointment. The last time i checked, Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Omotola Jalade are still in the movie scenes and i think the world celebrate them.

Omg…..operation come and collect your brown envelop….this visitation to aso rock is becoming one too many or is it a case of monthly or bi-monthly visitation, why nollywood stars often times as am confused as the word confuse here.

Mama please there are individuals and organisations in Nigeria making differences in the betterment or welfare of Nigerians daily from NGO, CHURCHES, PRIVATE SECTORS, INDIVIDUAL giving and showing us and others the meaning of social responsibility.

Please you need to go and seek such individuals to aso rock working effortlessly for a better Nigeria because they deserve a tap in the back or standing ovation for their insight, foresight and jobs well done……if nothing but to motivate them to do more which is very inspiring in my opinion.
.. Modupe ozuola doing great things even in the president state yet no one calls her for dinner with the president, pastor adeyemi wife Nike doing great thing with her vision to mentor young women in the street for a better living condition the names are many but no one sees them but THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT AND FIRST LADY ARE VERY SWIFT TO CALL INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE SOON TO BE JOBLESS PARADING AS STAR for dinner, after this what next? Another meeting /dinner soonest…..or different batch of stars coming to continue with the naira rain unfolding inside the villa.
Una well done mama peace or mama jona.

Abeg rest Madam. I wonder when this generation will get smarter.. If Buhari and his team invites them it is right. But if GEJ does it, it becomes an unforgivable sin. …………Everybody feeling like they have an opinion. Orishirisi.

I always thought bn was where the non hood rats came to comment but I guess not.
Pray tell when Obama hosts hosts hollywood at the white house why is it the nonentities complaining about now do not complain?
We now have so little respect for people who eke a living from acting and showbiz that we believe every time they meet with politicians it is about brown envelopes? No wonder many lives are on pause if you believe that is what they live on.
