Thousands of Odua People’s Congress (OPC) members and pro – PDP groups staged a protest on three major roads in Lagos on Monday to call for the sack of Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Attahiru Jega.

Vanguard reports that in addition to rallying against Jega, the gathering also served as a pro-rally for President Goodluck Jonathan.

Sources say the OPC members were seen brandishing weapons such as knives, cutlasses and guns and harassed motorists and pedestrians. In general, both groups’ activities are said to have caused heavy traffic on the roads they occupied which were: Alausa, Olusosun, as well as Iyana Oworonsoki and Ojota axis.

The protesters also distributed flyers and leaflets, highlighting points against Jega as well as why Jonathan deserves re-election into power.

If there’s any party that should be worried about the integrity of Jega is definitely not PDP. After the Ekiti election rigging in favour of PDP I bet other parties should be disturbed with Jega being in office but the reverse is the case here. Which one is OPC?

They aren’t jobless, they are stupid, foolish and lacks sense. and that’s what happened when you dine with corrupt president. The people that gave them the name matters no more to them. Now they can afford houses in lekki, VGC and the rest so the guys that lives at oworonsoki has no value.
All these are just distractions. let’s just focus and anyone that desire change shouldn’t be distracted. And for Pro-GEJ, May God Almighty run your life the way your boss is running the affairs of this country. Amen

hmmmm…… yet people say this man isn’t sharp that it is his associates that are devious. All the visiting and paying off obas and OPC people that has led to these protests and vandalism….. hmmmm. Now we are seeing the effects of the 6 weeks (hopefully not indefinite) postponement of elections. Are people so hungry that they will sell their future and children’s future for money they will spend now and finish? Let us start asking for how to fish, not just fish

straining my eyes to see the cutlass and guns in this picture, all these pro APC media should stop pls. did we hear anybody was killed or what?, even if they had cutlasses or whatever, these are OPC and those are their ordinary working tools, the point remains they have right to support any group, APC had same rally and blocked all the road, yet nobody made noise, APC painted all the posters of Agbaje on 3MD black, we didnt hear cries any where, just one rally in support of PDP, they are crying up and down,

Cutlasses are their ordinary working tool Abi! God will judge you, if I tell you that may you meet them in the road one day with their working tools, you will say I’m cursing you! Chai is this the Lagos jimi and get want to give us! With opc parading streets with “their working tools”! Opc is a menace that must never be returned to the streets of the South West

And where were you when they were defacing Ambode’s posters in Lekkki, which happened way before the 3rd mainland paint thing and I’m sure many Lekki residents can testify to that so talk about crying victim….hiss .Guns na working tools for PDP supporters . Lagosians if you think area boys are bad ( and they have been greatly reduced in the last 8 years as those who’ve lived in Lagos since then know) that is just a glimpse of what PDP has in store for you if you make thee biggest mistake of your life’s. OPC members will be roaming the streets of Lag with guns are cutlasses, you go smell pepper!

Jonathan and his PDP cohorts have gone to awaken a sleeping monster. They want to use OPC to terrorize Lagosians abi. e no fit work.

Previous PDP and APC rallies have been pre planned with announcements going out to especially alert commuters of the potential traffic. If this was peaceful, why didn’t they do the same. Go on twitter and see folks complaining of harrassment cos they had APC stickers on their cars.

People used MEND and Boko Haram touts for election thuggery, after election these groups became a menace to society.GEJ wants to start wahala in Lagos with OPC thugs

They will take the money and still vote his ass out. Majority of them are unemployed and dont will not vote against their interest. Jonathan will be shell shocked to see his landslide defeat.
