There is no smoke without fire, who knows his offense that may have resulted in his sack?.

GEJ, is just doing whatever he wants. Firing, and appointing new ministers when he only has a very short time left in office. Looking forward to the end of his incompetent governance.

GEJ is the most educated and most competent Leader Nigeria has ever produced. It is only irresponsible Nigerians like you that will insult him. For Nigeria to move forward we must learn to be civil.

It is called LOYALTY & RESPECT. There is no room for insubordination . And I do not mean refusing to help rig elections! Read between the lines.

There is something wrong with GEJ, he needs good advisers.

Hmm, what’s the story behind this? The Ekiti elections, the Presidential elections or the Gubernatorial elections? Or, some missing billions and not delivering?

Has he been IGP for up to a year even?

With the incoming regime. reforming the Police should top their agenda.

I said it!!! I said this guy’s days in office is sooo numbered…especially after his silly comments during the election ..where he went off saying he will kill 10 people for every 1 policeman that is killed…i mean who says that…especially someone who’s supposed to maintain PEACE and ORDER… in any case…its his cuppa tea…i really cant be bothered…

Medina – Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Joseph Mbu, has said the threat he issued to kill 10 people for every policeman killed made the conduct of the Lagos State election peaceful.

      Note the difference?

It was Mbu that made the statement

It was Mbu that said it not Suleiman.

It was AIG Mbu (The “controversial” guy) that said that, not the outgoing IG. Get your facts straight before you comment.

      My thoughts on the matter:
The last THREE IGs have been northerners, (FYI for a classic case study of marginalization in Nigeria, check out the list of IGs on wikipedia, see who they usually are…). One would guess that GEJ maintained the status quo as a means to curry favor with northern elements prior to the elections. Seeing as that didn’t achieve the desired outcome, methinks we presido has installed a southerner to at least give the region some shine before the handover in May. Who knows, Buhari might even keep him post handover. That’s my hypothesis.

This is so silly. If you will use the word “SACK” then it should be followed with a reason for the sack.

@medina, you don’t have the right info an AIGP made that comment

This is one of the harshest statements GEJ has used to “sack” someone in 5 years. I wish he had used this more often for others e.g. Oduah. Normally he just announces their replacement and nothing else is said.

See the courage that not having to beg for votes again gives you? Or abi na “Dutch courage”?
