Hollywood Actress Nia Long is Engaged to her Nigerian Partner of 5 years Ime Udoka
It looks like it’s a day for proposals as 43 year old actress Nia Long is officially engaged to her longtime boyfriend of 5 years, Nigerian-American former NBA player Ime Udoka.
The couple welcomed their son Kez Sunday Udoka in 2011 but have remained a private couple.
According to reports, the 36 year old assistant coach popped the question recently and last night Nia Long was spotted with a huge rock on her finger as the couple stepped out all smiles after a dinner together.

Confirmed South – South guy…and he names his son Sunday even in America.
Hollywood should consider a series titled ” Hollywood – Naija Wives” I think I should trademark this title sef sob can receive royalties…
BY, you are my witness ooo incase e one tries to be smart and “tifs” this idea of mine.
Congrats to them…loved Nia Long since the first time I watched “The bestman”

Personal life
Though American-born, Udoka’s father of Akwa Ibom descent, was born in Nigeria,[4] which qualified him as a member of the Nigerian basketball squad, for whom he played at the 2006 FIBA World Championships. His older sister Mfon used to play in the WNBA. His mother, who died in late 2011, was an American from Illinois.[15]
In November 2011, Udoka’s girlfriend (actress Nia Long) gave birth to his first child, Kez Sunday Udoka.[1

The Ibibios and parts of Abia state ( Arochukwu, Ohafia…) share similar cultures and names.

An age gap of seven years? Why do I even fret because I’m older than my boo by a mere nine months. Actually, it’s because he has one of those ‘ageless’ faces and there’s nothing I can do about that.#myprivateworries#

Even among igbo ( i.e non yorubas and hausas) there is tribalism
one second they are doing solidarity for someone from balyesa claiming my brother my brother even when they know his administration is crap
another second you will call someone igbo they will say no he’s not igbo he’s from akwa ibom . i am not igbo i am from delta .
Seriously ! Confused much ?
Why blame people for calling you out then when you do internal segregation.
Why do we have to scream he’s Igbo why not celebrate he’s Nigerian
Why did every one criticise the daughter of one rich igbo man like that (can’t remember his name I think he’s into printer or computers or so) for marrying Yoruba but now famzing because Americana is involved.
It’s amazing how not even education can stop tribalism.
